The ref was bribed, no other way to explain it. That guy is on Marlon Wright status right now. Agbeko simply didn't win IMO. As far as the kd is concerned a punch landed when Agbeko fell. That's a kd. Hell he looked like he was ready to be ko'd during the 1st 3 rounds. What I'm saying is that the fight was competitive as it continued & there is no way IMO that Agbeko won 8 rounds.
I 100% disagree with that bolded statement, I saw one point in the fight only where agbeko looked like he even felt a legit punch.

The fact that mares glove touched him while he was already falling is why it isn't a kd imo. the punch had zero to do with him hitting the canvass.

the horrific officiating made this an unfair fight IMO, that's why its worse than lara-williams. we saw what happened when those two fought because the ref wasn't actually working against one fighter. everyone knows that pwilly got his ass beat, so he got a gift decision but the entire world that saw the fight knows what would happen if they fought again.

its funny that people are saying agbeko got schooled in the first half, but then did the schooling in the second half, but in the next breath say the fight wasn't close. I had it 7-5 Agbeko, but there were plenty of swing rounds and I gave Agbeko the 12th, which I have a feeling I may not do on rematch. Anything form one to two points either way would seem fair to be, but the referee made this an unfair fight, so it doesn't really matter what our scores were.

i was surprised to see a few things:

      1) Mares was much faster than Agbeko
      2) Mares also tired out earlier than Agbeko
      3) Agbeko never lost his shi t and was ultra classy about the reffing until the kd in 11. Not many elite boxers would act that way.

Walt, you weren't surprised to see Mares' secret weapon which they aptly named, "Testicle Assault"?

I can't change the ref's point deductions and non calls or the kd.
Agbeko fought back strongly and it got closer at the end..

If Mares got deducted one or two and the second kd wasn't called, it could have very well been a draw.
It was a close good fight, a fight I thought Mares won more rounds in.
like I said, a point or two in either direction seems fair to me, but really, we didn't watch a fair fight. it should really be removed from the books.

If this fight is refereed by a non corrupted ref, Mares is disqualified by round 8, definitelly in round 11.

Agreed. A rematch is in order and a firing is in order for Mora.

Easily. The rd 11 low blow kd was dq'able for sure. Especially considering mares punched him in the *** earlier in the 11th already, AND in the 10th he was warned after a punch that stopped the action.

Mares was the better fighter by far, he just is too young and undisciplined to keep from hitting low. He also started too fast and tired. Maybe Agbeko's injury made him look so uninspired and bad.

In a rematch Mares fixes both. If there were no low blows he would've dominated this fight. I think Mares wins the rematch for sure.
