The Hall of Fame is just a glorified popularity contest.

So there is a decent chance Johnson might get in, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

      Andre Berto to the HOF!
If Peter Manfredo or Sergio Mora make the HOF, I'm never watching boxing again.

I can understand Johnson being a sentimental favourite, but he is NOT HOF material sorry.

So I have the green light to vote for Paul Spadafora and Chris Arreola?

Next year is my first year of eligibility to vote in the Hall of Fame, and I'll have a hard time checking the box next to his name when he's on the ballot. For me, I think he was a step below the elite level after 2005. If you look at it, his reign at the top wasn't that long, but he stayed around because he always gave good fights and had good names on his record.

What turned me off about him was that he always complained about close losses, trying to take away from the fighter who won. He did a great job complaining after the Cloud and first Dawson losses, which painted a picture afterwards that the fight wasn't even close.

To me, that's close to what Zab Judah does every time he loses.

Hell no I would rather have Zab Judah former undisputed welterweight champ over Johnson.

I dont think Judah should get in by the way.

Glen Johnson will make the HOF, if not then they should remove all the bums from the HOF (70% of the HOF).

the boxing HOF is biggest joke in world to be honest, it doesnt mean anything.

Its so bad I think ******s like Michael Marley have votes.
Good point. If you have a sob story, you get in. If anybody out there in the fight game really wants in and doesn't think they have a chance (I'm looking at you Malignaggi), maybe you should just kill yourself. Then you'd be first ballot no doubt. Everybody knows there is no higher honor than Canastota.

Hey, maybe I should check if I made it in? I never boxed professionally or had any involvement with the sport professionally other than as a fan, but I'm as qualified as anybody I'd say. Anybody have a link or a nomination form? Surely you can self-nominate, right?

With every loss, Johnson just goes higher in my book. Hopefully he can lose 25 more times before he retires because then he's on Emmanuel Augustus' level and there is nothing better than that in my opinion. Augustus is the greatest fighter that ever lived with 40 losses. If I could somehow lose 40 fights, I don't know what I'd do. Write a book, of course. But after that? Hollywood? Discover a new planet maybe? I don't know!
