Tua, a fast food lover for whom weight has often been an issue, weighed 248 pounds for his last fight, a 12-round unanimous decision win against journeyman Demetrice King.

thx for the weigh in results! barrett looks in fantastic shape!

Damn tua looks unfit as, probably due to many reasons like not having money to get proper training and nuetrition so thats def guna keep his performance down. In the tua vs barret video thing he was drinking energy drinks and going to get coffee in morning I was just thinking damn how can he be doing this **** while training for fight. Now look at him at weigh in.

Its probably due to the money factor holding him back, even tho if he had more determination and was mroe serious about the health side of things then he could of done it but for someone like tua he needs someone to tell him to get the **** away from that and control his eating and train him hard.

Barret trained really hard for this, I just wana see a knockout either way

tua weighed 11 lbs less and looked worlds apart from what he does now.

I don't know. Just seems Tua is not taking fighting as serious as he stated when he made his "comeback".

It was more like seven pounds heavier. Since he's lost Roger Bloodworth he's getting heavier. I hear that the people he has around him now are locals who are in awe of "David Tua" and don't make him work as hard, though Tua says he did work very hard for this fight.

I don't see the point in people moaning about the fight before it even takes place. The last one was good (I was there in Atlantic City) and I want to see what happens this time. Barrett certainly looks like he trained very hard. Maybe he stops Tua -- that would be a headline.

You are correct, it is 7.

But the body composition seems to be a lot bigger difference than 7lbs.

I don't moan about the fight. I just think Tua should retire if he don't take it serious anymore.
To uphold that kind of bodyfat and weight he has, you have to eat an absurd amount of calories. He should be able to stay in shape if he works as hard as he says, if hes not pigging out on various crapfood and beverages.
