I think it's mainly due to the fact that people tend to overrate fast, explosive fighters like Judah and Berto, because they looks amazing against fighters like Santa Cruz and Freddy Hernandez, but when faced with an actual grain of substance they have no answers for the simple fact they are not good fighters, at all.

And, the fact that Amir Khan is still vastly underrated on here.

I'm not even a Khan fan, remotely. I hate the fact the Boxing community here in the UK have been force fed him since he was 17 years old. And when Maidana hurt him I was hoping he were to be stopped.

But, I recognise that he is a good fighter, not elite at this point, but very good.

Much much better than Berto, atleast.

No question. He would get the beating of his life.

He has no nothing All he has is good power and speed, nothing else.

He has no style, he doesn't come forward, nor go backwards, sufficently.

He has a pathetic jab and next to no skills what so ever. He is possibly the most flawed fighter I have seen for a long time.

    He's just terrible basically.

and i agree berto isnt that great. i think khan is better overall but i think khan is the type of fighter that berto does well against. hes always looked good when he was able to muscle a fighter around. and i very much think he can muscle khan around.
I didn't say he always does that, I expect that's what he would do in a fight with Khan. Berto is not going to outbox Khan, and he isn't smart enough to handle Khan's speed. So he would end up relying on his power and looking for one big shot.

And every time I've seen Berto fight he doesn't throw a ton of punches. He tends to stay in a lull until exploding a couple times a round. I've seen him outworked by every half decent fighter he's ever fought.

Taylor just had too many tough fights that ended in brutal KOs. Also had stamina issue but the guy had skills.
I don't believe Jermain Taylor won either of those fights. IMO the judging in those fights suggested HBO was trying to get rid of BHOp because his style wasn't TV friendly.

HBO for some reason was too highly invested in Berto being a success. He and Taylor are both decent fighters. But HBO would have fans believe they were the future.

You have got to give Jermain Taylor far more credit than you are giving him. Whether you think he won or not, he holds two wins that are not robberies or gifts over Bernard Hopkins, a draw with Winky Wright, and a few decent title defenses at middleweight. He was far better than Berto ever has been.

Berto averages 50 punches a round, if that.

We agree he has accomplished more on paper than Berto no question. I just feel they both got similar treatment from HBO once HBO got caught up in the "star making" business.

40 punches a round against Ortiz, and some people think that was a slugfest.

Not much slugging coming from Berto.

                  • People are overrating Khan by alot who has he beat that was top level competition they were a;; C- level fighters so GTFOH out here. Who has Khan beat that Berto wouldn't name 1 fighter just 1. Khan won't even fight the guy that exposed his glass chin. Berto is stronger and faster than him I give him a hell of shot to beat if he trains properly(he didn't vs ortiz it was apparent) if Amir was on any company but GBP or Top Rank he wouldn't be on ESPN let alone being talked about as Mayweather opponent which is a joke.

I don't think Roach would train him if he wasn't any good. Berto's training is definitely an issue.
