Why do the US audience react so badly to Witter when he does flash moves/showboating?

    lol

Nationality could have something to do with it but I doubt. It depends on where the crowd members were from and what class they are. If they were rich whte guys they might just be hating on a black guy who "doesn't know his place".

Most U.S. ppl like the Brits, our only true ally after all.

Most whites would hate to watch Paul Malignaggi showboating...& would hate (while laughing their asses off) to see Wayne McCullough doing the same.

      Drop the white/black issue, guys.

It's a legit possibilty. Of course, no one can prove it. It could just be the crowd was a crowd that doesn't like showboating. If you broke it down though I'd bet more ppl would be ok with Paulie doing that than Witter, if they are only white ppl. It would just make sense.

P.S. Malignaggi is **** btw. Looks like a new kid on the block.

Really? That's good to hear. I always forget that sometimes reading the anti-Brit stuff on here, but when I went on holiday to the US I had a great time.

I'd love to see Witter step up, I reckon he's a class act.

I think its a number of things. Something that someone hasnt mentioned yet is that he is trained by Brendan Ingle (right?), and therefore they dont want another Naz. I also think the person who said "it could have been an N'Dou crowd" was pretty much spot on.

Oh btw, Witter didnt look all that good in his last fight. I havent seen much of him, but what i have seen, he's not all that.

knowing how boring he is, showboating in a boring match will lead to your a$$ getting booed.

I caught the Witter-N'Dou fight again the other day, and was amazed at how much the crowd hated Witter for all his flashy moves (which were also attacking moves - they weren't flash without substance) yet Roy Jones gets crowds yelping for his chicken dance.

Is it because he doesn't have an established rep? Cos he's not from the US? What?

Exactly it comes down to nationality too. Hes not an African American and his fights are boring. That lead to his boos in my opinion.
