Even if the rematch happened and Vitili won...he would have beat a 40 year old...
So what? If Adamek beats Vitali, is that what you're going to say then? "Doesn't matter he beat a 40-year-old." I doubt it.

He didn't have to go on like Toney and Holyfield. He still had plenty of time for one more fight to clear the air with Vitali. And he didn't do it, so we are left with an inconclusive result which we will argue over forever.
Hahahaha what the hell am I reading!!!

What is conclusive is that Vitali got his faced rearranged within 6 rounds by an aging, overweight and soon to be retired Lewis.

      Conclusive enough to me!!!!

Lewis is one of boxings good guys, he could hang with the best from any era due to his size, power and ability.

Everyone wanted the Vitali rematch but at that point Lewi just didnt feel the need for it, i think he felt above the rematch tbh, like he Vitali was below him and wasnt worthy of another fight. Anybody who says Lewis was scared of Vitali doesnt know ****, Lewis wasnt scared of anyone, very few world class boxers are. Id have loved to see a rematch though myself

Lewis made his own decision to retire and more power to him, we see older guys all too often try and drag out a career. He has money, his health and his legacy - what more could you want?

pretty much how I see the first fight. The doctors stopped it for Vitali's health, not to save Lewis. If Vitali had carried on for another few rounds, he couldve been blinded and damaged permanently.

Lewis punched a hole in Vitali's face, and he did to Vitali something nobody has or will come close to doing again.

I think its a testament to Lewis as a champion that he beat the up and comer, and had the fight continued, we might have not seen Vitali go on as a professional, such was the damage done to his eye

Hands down one of the worst cuts (if you can even call it a cut) Ive ever seen

But you're a Klitschko hater and only see half of the equation.

An objective view takes into account that Lewis won because of a cut, that Lewis was rocked in the fight and seemingly out of gas (as the HBO crew noted) when the fight was stopped -- and Vitali's cut didn't seem any worse when it was stopped than it did in the previous couple of rounds. It also takes into account that Vitali was leading on all scorecards at the time of the arbitrary decision to stop the fight (a decision Vitali didn't agree with).

The "ageing" Lewis argument is a joke, because the year before when he beat Tyson he was described as being better than ever and in his prime by many including Lewis himself. Then in a year's time he's an aged cripple? That's bull****.

If any fight called for a rematch, it was this one -- a point brought home by the fact of Lewis being booed out of the arena on the last fight of his career.

No champion wants to go out that way, and he should have wanted to settle the issue before he quit fighting for good. He didn't, and he is still bothered by it.

Lennox was training to "come back" again this year, and again didn't follow through for one reason and one reason only. He knows his daddy Vitali is waiting to spank him again if he does come back.

Otherwise, he'd be back in a flash.

I have never known of a fighter who is called the "daddy" of another fighter, despite legitimately losing to that fighter.....

The problem with you Klit nuthuggers is that deep down you know two things:

              1. No matter what Vitaly does, he will never be ranked higher than Lennox Lewis

              2. Vitaly will have to die knowing that he was beaten by Lennox Lewis

              Deal with it peeps....

And Lennox will have to die knowing that he was too afraid to risk giving Vitali the rematch he promised him, that he held the belts up for a year while he worried about what to do, and decided to end his career with the fans at his last fight booing the hell out of him as he left the arena.

So I guess everyone has his cross to bear.

Explain to me then why your hero himself, in his post fight interview, said:

"Lennox Lewis promised to knock me out in 5 rounds. Why didn't he? I know because he don't have condition for 5 rounds."

Explain that from the very horses mouth Chopper.

You choose to believe Lennox's words but not the assertion of your boy big Klit????

These Klit fans are so delusional......

                      That's right Bro.

Also, Lampley asked Foreman if he'd fight Vitali after the fight and Foreman said yes. When asked if he would fight Lewis, his response? "No, no way!!"

Honestly Bro, the *****'s and *******s are insignificant in comparison to the Klitlickers' idiocy on this forum.
