sadly with the rise of MMA I don't think USA will produce another PPV king for a long time, possibly never again. The real potential PPV kings are guys with strong national fan bases in places that love boxing, perhaps Canelo Alvarez

another idiot remark, Mayweather was not the first to beat Oscar, Bhop,Moesly,trinadad all beat him first, and none of them could sell PPV. Mayweathers problem was exposure, once people saw his skill level, they wanted to see more, his mouth and attitude only helped, but don't get it twisted, its his skill thats got him where hes at and nothing else.

Without Oscar? Floyd was already greater than Oscar before he even fought Oscar.

Floyd had already done around 400k PPV pre Oscar. Not bad numbers at all.

Floyd Floyd was already doing 300k+ PPV pre Oscar. And, Floyd did how much post Oscar? Did Tito or B-Hop or Mosley do the type of numbers like Floyd? Just STFU already.

Yes Canelo is a live gate draw but that also doesn't mean he's a PPV star. Because, he isn't. Not just yet. He might become one. But, until he sells over 500K PPV then you can compare him to the likes of Floyd, Oscar, and Pac PPV drawing power.
