The "SPLIT"decision was as fraudulent as were Hopkins attempts to influence the ref to call "foul" more often so that he could keep having breathers. Calzaghe was just too smart and too fast for him. On a different level entirely. It was more like a Vaudeville act than a boxing match, because all the actual boxing came from one side. The other side contributed the inept, low "comedy".

Get some sense abouut boxing .....at least!
STFU .. go watch the fight over and count with your hands how many MEANINGFUL punches Joe landed. every single punch that mattered was landed by Hopkins, CompuBox was givin Joe credit for landing on his elbows and shoulders which is why u get that ridiculous number at the end of the bout. . and almost everyone agreed it was a controversial decision, and what should a great fighter do when hes involved in any questionable fight? rematch !!.. Hopkins was down for a rematch the same night , Joe fell off the map and "retired"/ran from Bhop.

whos a living legend , certified first ballot hall of famer ? HOPS !!

Hopkins is being ******, of course he has a better resume, he has a longer career. The fact is he's 6-3-1 in his last 10 fights, and some of his fights, he looked like ****.

What fight were you watching? Hopkins made Joe look like an amateur! It was clearly a Hopkins win! If you don't think so you don't know boxing or are just biased yourself! Here's a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyz2cws8LBE . The fight is in slow mo, so you can see for yourself. Hopkins was robbed! Watch it again and tell me how Joe won that fight, if you still think Calzaghe won, than I thank god you aren't an official judge because you obviously do not know how to score a fight. Ring generalship, defense, effective aggression, and most of all clean effective punching. All of which B-Hop owned. Here's the link again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyz2cws8LBE .

Hopkins truly lost to Calzaghe. Joe didn't fight Hopkins or Roy Jones in their primes so it doesn't matter. The outcome at least for Roy would have been alot different, especially since Roy easily beat Hopkins with one hand in their prime when it counts for legacy reasons. Hopkins will lose to Dawson.

How everyone can insult and belittle Calzaghe is beyond me. He was the most entertaining british fighter ever! What he did in the jones and hopkins fight was remarkable. As for this fight i think dawson will be to fast and too accurate. Hopkins can go twelve rounds if he dictates the pace. If dawson doesnt fall asleep in the fight then he will probably win 8-4.

I really think you need to take into account the amount of punches joe landed. That is what counts. Scoring punches. Whether hopkins landed the more meaningful punches is irrelevant when joe is throwing four to his one. He simply outworked hopkins. Hopkins has joe hurt in the first and could have finished him but bottled it. I thought that a split decision was unfair on joe. If that fight was in england it would of been a UD.
