Well I hope he is fully recovered and can come in at a decent weight like 230-235 but losing a 10-8 round to VK is nothing to be bragging about. He has a ways to go until he gets another shot at either K-bro.

The talent is there, but lose some damn weight for your own sake.

^you could be right. but from my personal experience, a knee injury is usually permanent. it can be healed and stuff, but you are more easily prone to another injury. it might help solis if he put down some weight though.

This fight should not be for even the Intercontinental IBF belt.
That record you're speaking about is EXACTLY like the records of many of Rocky Marciano's opponents, about whom I have written several times, with NO challenges. In fact one of Rocky's better opponents had a 10-0 record.

When I looked into that 10-0 record I found that 9 of the guys had had no fights (=no wins) and the other one had a single win.

This kind of matchmaking should be a quick ticket to gaol for the so-called matchmakers. It is an outrage to ALL Sports.

Yes, and very likely not for a lot longer. It is a very serious injury, although not as serious as the one which caused Klitschko's retirement. THAT was the worst, and I recall several medical opinions which said that it was very unlikely that he could ever come back to boxing.

Others said that it would take at least a year to heal, and only ONE that I recall said "at least 6 months".

I think that Klitschko's injury was to the Anterior Cruciate Ligament, the ACL, the more serious ligament which is the one which joins the large bone of the thigh with the calf. The PCL (Posterior) is less serious and recovery is correspondingly faster.

And he didn't remotely win the first rd apart from the KO. He threw less and he landed far less. And Klitschko was pressing the fight from the bell. Solid made about 4 flurries, whilst on the retreat, of which maybe one punch might have landed out of 4-5.

Ohner is glorifying the fact that he was actually able to "hit" Klitschko and then jump back out of the way of any reprisal. Well, he sort of "misjudged" that a bit........

It has been done, but it is less than 5 months since he injured the knee. There is no way he could know right now that his knee wiill be good to go in October, if he had a torn ACL.
Maybe it wasn't an ACL. And maybe it wasn't "torn" but perhaps a little strained etc. There are degrees of injury to the cruciates, and it's obvious that his was a comparatively minor injury. Sharp of you to catch it.

Because, that ligament is about an inch thick, and I know that in Klitschko's case it was snapped.....a clean break which required surgery of the "transplant" and re-inforcement kind, I was told.

Odlanier Solis has told the media in Florida his knee has not healed and he won't be fighting until 2012.
