Only thing Mancini did was question the comments Pavlik made regarding the money being offered as being "peanuts".And he did so without attacking Pavlik.And he was right,too,as it's common knowledge in this sport that you're only as good as your last fight and that,at the moment,Pavlik simply isn't a relevant fighter.The money offered for the tune-up and against Bute was more than enough for a fighter in a position.

Some of the things Pavlik said about Ray were actually true too. He never really did beat anybody and he never fought Arroyo. Other than that though, Ray fought all comers and didn't act like a diva like Pavlik's bitch ass is doing.

Ok thats fine but Ray put himself out there in regard to this guy's situation and since Ray is respected by many fans it seems like its just some huge moral crime now for Pavlik to fire back. I am sure he is frustrated with the situation and how he is being criticized.

In what I've read, Ray just stated the obvious. That Pavlik is hurting himself with his decisions, his loss to Martinez hurt his standing because of how fans have short memories but a win over Bute would help, that a lot of people would get offended by someone calling a million dollars 'peanuts'.

Ray didn't say anything bad about him at all. See the above comments. Just basically questioning his decisions. It's not like Ray blasted Pavlik or anything like that. I think it was completely out of line for Pavlik to say things like that. Whether or not Mancini was overrated or not, he is beloved in Youngstown and in boxing in general. He was hugely popular in his time and gave it all in the ring.

Pavlik made it out like losing to Alexis Arguello is some bad thing, Arguello is an ATG. And I think it speaks volumes about Mancini that he went 14 good rounds against him in his first title fight after only like 19 fights...Mancini was only 20 years old. How many 20 year olds fight legends like Arguello??

His other losses came at the end of the career, and even his fight with Hector Camacho who was 33-0 at the time it was very close, it was a split decision.

Anyways, that's neither here nor there. Just find it ironic Pavlik is nitpicking Mancini's career when Pavlik has only beat Jermain Taylor and lost to a legend in Hopkins and lost to a good fighter in Martinez. Kind of similar in some regards, however Mancini in his losses gave it his 100% and fought his heart out. Can't say that about pavlik in his two losses.

That's a bit disgusting. I don't know what Mancini said but this is a classless response. And Mancini's effort against Alexis Arguello was more credible than anything Pavlik accomplished in his career.
