I guess Pavlik has one less ticket sold for his fanbase. Didn't Ray used to or probably still did go to Pavliks fights?

Pavlik has good wins against Taylor, and Miranda who both were considered top fighters at 160 when he fought them. He wasn't even suppose to beat them from what the odds makers had him listed at. He was the true-underdog.

But somethings wrong with Pavlik now, I'm not going to blame the alcohol because I think thats too much of an easy excuse. Maybe we're just seeing the true Pavlilk for once and not the nice guy image we've seen from the past that the media made him out to be.

You're only as good as your last fight and Pavlik still wants people to just dish him constant praise for the taylor and miranda fights.

trust me alcohol doesn't have anything to do with this, well maybe it ENHANCES the problem, but Pavlik has a problem dealing with criticism, and just got butt-hurt so he fires back unnecessarily hard.
I think you're right, and I don't see drink or addiction problems in his outburst. He is being skilfully egged on by an interviewer who is pressing all the right buttons. Pavlike feels hurt, and insulted, and lowered in his own estimation. I unseratadn perfectly what hhe is both saying and trying to say It's just his lack of formal education and "elocution" lessons which make it seem to run on unneccessarily, as well as the encouragement of the interviewer.

If that interviewer was a tryue sportsman (foolish comment, what interviewer is?) he should have edited Pavlik's comments to at least delete the repetitions, which would make it less rambling-by association, alcoholic rambling- and allow for more understanding of his problems with the proposed fights. We have to accept what he says as true that he had seen no offers until the last moment, and signed no contracts. No one has shown differently.

I suppose that a certain section of the readers are disappointed that they can't fault Arum or Top Rank for this, considering the high praise he gives them, but I wouldn't worry.....they'll twist it some way.

Early sobriety is an emotional time...

Kelly is just gettin in touch w/ his feelings and lettin em fly.

              Part of the process.

In this week alone I have lost all respect for Kelly Pavlik.

Boom Boom is an absolute legend, completely act of disgrace from Pavlik, he actually sounds hurt not by what Mancini said but by Mancini doing more for boxing then he ever did and will.

Whatever good thoughts I had for Pavlik are now gone

                      Although
"Don't bite off more than you can chew," stated former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik
                      That line made me laugh.
