I've had time to think... I've lost a lot of respect for Jose Luis Castillo

    hmm

I don't think it has to do with ego but I'll explain what it is. Martin has proven to disrespect certain fighters whose style he does not like. He doesn't respect certain fighters as greats just because they don't war and low-blow all the time like Tricky Ricky Hatton. That's why I think he's an ass, because I respect all different types of fighters from Castillo to Roy Jones.

Just like I cannot understand the idiots who say dumb **** like Castillo-Corrales I is overrated and it was a "non
    skilled" fight. Bull****.

      • The weight difference made a BIG difference... Whilst Castillo was training hard, Corrales was making weight loss preperations.

      • So Corrales weighed in on the night 2lbs heavier than Castillo on the night?... Corrales extra weight was fluid gain as opposed to solid muscle.

      • The Castillo camp knew that this fight wouldn't be called off at that late stage because of the money involved!

      • That Castillo camp did this knowing that they wouldn't win the belts, but also that Castillo would never fight at 135lbs again anyway, and a win here was the perfect way to set up a big money fight at 140lbs!

I will say that Corrales had a bad game plan anyway, and probably would have lost... But that's irrelivant... What's important here is that - Castillo played the system, and got away with it!

Who's to say that others won't try these kind of tricks in the future when big money's involved?

Before the mexican fans jump on me... I will add that I don't compare "not making the weight" to in-fight tactics like the mouthpiece, a lowblow, or leading with the head. The weight issue can get people hurt or killed!

I totally agree with you, alot of people are just saying "its two pounds" etc etc, but like you said, theres a differnce between muscle and fluids, i couldnt agree with your post more

that being said, i still think chico would have lost this fight, he was not himself, his punches werent crisp and he looked tired. it was just jlc's night

I mean CMON!!! COME ta **** ON!!!

Castillo bent ta rules. Bending rules = cheating!!!

Ta people that supports tis are people who PREDICTED CASTILLO WOULD WIN. And that makes em losers fo not recognizing tis shyt! It was cheating, goddamn it! Had he weighed in right, I don't think we'd have tis discussion. Castillo would be sky rocketing in errrbody's P4P list and errrone would give him credit.

I respect Castillo, as well. You know, maybe I've been making to big a deal about this weight thing, but I got into two separate arguments about this on two different boxing sites after the fight happened, so, you know, it sort of entrenched my position. No big deal, like people say he will probably kill Corrales in part 3, anyway.

            hmm

I think maybe Corrales just couldn't recuperate from the last fight, and now he will have even more problems as a result of this KO loss. Some people just take punishment better than others and Corrales took the kind of punishment that could change a fighter forever in the last 14 rounds he has fought.

No doubt about it, Castillo is a great 140lb lightweight special attraction main feature almost world champion PPV epic extravaganza.

No sanctioning body should allow this chump to fight for one of their belts for a couple of years. That'll put an end to any other cheat wanting to copy this strategy.

From what I saw Castillo looked great and would beat Corrales anyway, which makes it all the more disappointing. Castillo could be World Champion today but chose a different path.

Take away the 2 fluid pounds (if that caca mammy point could ever be considered valid (it can't) lol) than you got 2 fighters of the same weight. Either way 2 pounds isnt a difference, 15 to 20 pounds is when a difference can be seen and ontop of that Corrales isn't even making excuses, kids just gota weak chin. Ya'll need to stop actin as if what Castillo did was just 'Impossible' when he did it twice in the first fight and I don't even care about the spit out mouth piece but seriously, what would have happen if he kept it in his mouth and got right up? with out the 5 minute break..All in all your respect loss isn't significant enough for a 'thread' lol I don't know who told you different though..

lol Castillo's the man now, suck it up..

look, other than the fact that you contradict yourself almost every post you make, I honestly dont have the time to try and translate your wannabe gansta thug typing. Nobody asks for perfect language of any kind, but youre trying so damn hard to be cool or tough or whatever that your posts are silly looking and downright hard to read. No offense, but geeze, youre no gansta so cut it out already.

You're a weird young man... You follow me around the forums, looking for things to pick at what I'm saying.

I apoligise if I've ****ed you up in some sort of way? I think it would be better if you just stop reading my posts. Actually better still - Put me on ignore if I upset you this much.

My favourite boxer of all time is Lennox Lewis... So of course, like you keep saying, I'm all about the brawlers.

Stop following me around... You have nothing interesting to contribute to this boxing discussion, you just enter threads and make bitchy remarks about what other people have said. Why don't you try to be a little more original?
