I am a huge Wlad fan but honestly this fight is disgusting in so many ways and should not be fought at least at this time. Hell, there is all kinds of at least half way credible fighters that Wlad can fight other than Wach. Even if he has to go a little deep into the top 25.

Trying to big up whoever this fighter is to make their Hero look credible.
Also, on paper, Wlad beats this guy pretty easily but who knows? This is boxing and sometimes the underdog surprises us fans.

What I can't abide with is reading countless posts saying how bad Haye is as a boxer and how easy Wlad will destroy/obliterate/annihiliate him, yet Wach is seen as a good young and strong prospect. That is what ****unney, Chopper, SteelSpammer and Apartheid do. They ruin everything with their blinded hate and racism.

Wach is coming off of a nice win in which he laid out a guy that Tomasz Adamek just went 12 rounds with.
Given that Wach has of late been dishing out some vicious KOs (see also his nasty KO of Christian Hammer) do you really think that Wach versus Wlad, who has a shaky chin, is any more ludicrous than Adamek, with his very "limited" power, going against iron-chinned Vitali?
At age 31, Wach can't afford to throw this chance away if he gets it.
If Wach ever landed on Wlad the way he did on McBride, he could be wearing some championship belts.
Also, Wlad wants to fight again in the US. With the Russian/Ukrainian fanbase from Brighton Beach and Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, and the rabid Polish boxing fanbase from New Jersey, a fight with Wach could sell out MSG.
Another reason for a Wach fight is that at 6'8", Wach would be taller than Wlad, which would interest those casual fans who claim that Wlad wins only because he is bigger than everyone he fights (not true, but that's the perception).
All of this means that it's time to WACH AND ROLL!!!!
Wlad is in negotiations with another heavyweight, and if those negotiations fall through, Wach is next in line.Last edited by ChopperRead; 08-04-2011, 09:24 AM.

"Racism" means actively practicing or advocating something that denigrates or disadvantages another race, like saying black people should be banned from boxing, or that black fighters should be paid less than white fighters.
I have never done this, nor has anyone else here that I've read.
What you are calling "racism" is really just a matter of preference. If black people make lists on this forum of their favorite boxers and they have all black fighters on it, I don't see you accusing them of racism.
But if myself or Freedom or any other white person here favors white fighters, suddenly it's an example of vile racism by white supremacists.
That is a laughable double-standard. We are then put in a position where we can't say "oh, but I like this black fighter" because it looks like we're saying, "I'm not a racist, some of my best friends are black."
I make no apology for liking the Klitschkos or any other white fighter. Just as the black people who like only black fighters make no apology for it (nor should they). When I do cheer for a black fighter, like Antonio Tarver, who I just voted over Wlad and Bute for best fighter of the month, you never seem to be around.
My criticisms of Haye were based on his record and actions as a heavyweight, not on his race (though he's half-white, so maybe I should like 50% of him?).Last edited by ChopperRead; 08-04-2011, 09:43 AM.

The fight will draw a huge croud in Germany or Poland. It will be interesting to see Wlad in with someone who is taller (6'7") than he is. The haters won't be able to b1tch about a height advantage.
There really isn't anybody else available for Wladimir this fall, except for journeymen like Chauncey Welliver.
- Arreola: Wlad's first choice, but Arreola's management wanted one more fight before facing Wlad next year. Looks like he'll be facing Maurice Harris on Sep 15.
- Dimitrenko: scheduled to fight Sprott on Sept 24
- Boytsov: scheduled for a warm-up on the same card as Dimitrenko
- Povetkin: chicken-hearted Sasha is fighting Chagaev, wants no part of Wladimir
- Helenius: fighting Lyakhovich on Aug 27, his managers want him to have more experience before facing Wlad
Wlad's already beaten everyone else: Thompson, Haye, Chagaev, Chambers, etc.
So come on then, explain why I am a racist and hateful then?
Can't wait to hear this!!

Klitschko Haters: "Wlad should fight someone his own size, he only wins because he's bigger than everyone else."
Team Klitschko: "Let's offer Wach a fight. He's bigger than Wladimir, and won his last fight with a huge KO. And, he's Polish, they really get behind their boxers, it will be a huge event."
Klitschko Haters: "Worst fight ever!"

The fact that Adamek did not knock him out also means nothing. Simply, because he dominated him and Adamek's power has always been overrated even at lt heavy.
As for Wach's record the highest ranked fighter he beat comes in at 159 and sadly that was not even McBride. All of his other opponents are ranked well over 200 and even way up into the 400's. So, I vote no Wach is not a viable contender. Regardless of how old or how young he happens to be he in no way shape or form should be fighting for the unified WBO, IBF, WBA and Ring heavyweight championship of the world. And that is not even taking into account that Wlad would absolutely murder him.Last edited by Ravens Fan; 08-04-2011, 09:49 AM.

So tell me what does Wach do for Wlad's legacy then??
Bearing in mind that you're always telling us that he would be Champion in any era, explain to us Wach's great standing in the division?
Convince me and all the others in this thread who have never heard of him.
Come on boy, let's hear it.
