He has a Jedi buddy on a "you are all evil racists" kick too.

Guy calls me a racist, I reply, and then he says, "when did I ever call you a racist?"

This forum ain't what it used to be.

      I don't enjoy wrestling, so I just don't watch it. I don't b1tch about it though.
B1tching??? I find it hilarious that the division is in such a state and that you think your boys are the greatest thing since sliced bread!!!

I find it even more hilarious that you big up Wach as a viable dance partner that will further enhance your hero's 'legacy'.

I find it even more laughable that you lot get so uptight about it because deep down, you KNOW that the division is an absolute embarrassment.

B1tching......Naaaaaaaawwww, laughing my **** off, absolutely!!!!

I see you've still not answered my questions.......

You might be able to fool others about how great the division is and the supposed 'ATGness' of your boys but not me ****unney.

The fight will draw a huge croud in Germany or Poland. It will be interesting to see Wlad in with someone who is taller (6'7") than he is. The haters won't be able to b1tch about a height advantage.

There really isn't anybody else available for Wladimir this fall, except for journeymen like Chauncey Welliver.

          - Arreola: Wlad's first choice, but Arreola's management wanted one more fight before facing Wlad next year. Looks like he'll be facing Maurice Harris on Sep 15.

          - Dimitrenko: scheduled to fight Sprott on Sept 24

          - Boytsov: scheduled for a warm-up on the same card as Dimitrenko

          - Povetkin: chicken-hearted Sasha is fighting Chagaev, wants no part of Wladimir

          - Helenius: fighting Lyakhovich on Aug 27, his managers want him to have more experience before facing Wlad

Wlad's already beaten everyone else: Thompson, Haye, Chagaev, Chambers, etc.
I can understand liking a fighter....lots and lots in your case, but really, this fight is just ****e. Who is Wack? Never heard of him, as a prospect, contender, good amateur or anything. When you've never, ever heard of the guy who's about to fight for the lineal heavyweight championship of the world and you're an avid boxing fan, it's a sad, sad, sad day.

Your post actually makes it look all the worse TBH. I'm not trying to start some weird fight so don't get all strange, obsessive, defensive and start accusing me of racism. Just don't go there. But the fact he has to fight some dude called Wack?

What the hell has happened to boxing's prize division? Man....

And I will start by saying that the thought of a fighter earning a shot at Wlad by knocking out McBride makes me ill. And as far as Wach knocking out McBride it really means absolutely nothing in the big picture, why? Because McBride is s scrub always was a scrub and now happens to be a 300 pound washed up scrub. Think about this, McBride was knocked out by a fighter with a career record of 16 (9)-36(11). And that was in 1997 when he weighed 250.

The fact that Adamek did not knock him out also means nothing. Simply, because he dominated him and Adamek's power has always been overrated even at lt heavy.

As for Wach's record the highest ranked fighter he beat comes in at 159 and sadly that was not even McBride. All of his other opponents are ranked well over 200 and even way up into the 400's. So, I vote no Wach is not a viable contender. Regardless of how old or how young he happens to be he in no way shape or form should be fighting for the unified WBO, IBF, WBA and Ring heavyweight championship of the world. And that is not even taking into account that Wlad would absolutely murder him.
I see your points, but we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I think Wach has the power and size to make an upset over Wlad a lot more possible than, say, Adamek upsetting Vitali.

And I do think the matchup would do very good business in NYC/NJ.

I don't really see anyone else willing and able to fight in November who would have a better shot than Wach.

I think Wach's own people would say he's a work in progress. He has improved a lot since they brought him over to NJ from Poland.

But if he gets the shot and it is a good deal, at age 31, it will be tough for him to say no.

I think Wlad would be better suited to schedule the Nov. bout but to leave the opponent TBA for a month or so. I think when opponent selection is scarce then it's better not to lock in your opponent so soon. Let things shake out for a month or two and see if another opponent with more merit emerges..

Let's say that Povetkin beats Chagaev and then feels he's ready to face Wlad or what if Sergie Liakhovich upsets Helenius? These two guys are IMO much better than Marius Wach but if Wlad locks in Wach as his opponent so soon then he obviously averts a the potential matchup...

Pacquaio and Bob Arum frequently do this. They schedule a fight months and months in advance and, instead of watching how the boxing landscape changes, they lock in some ****ty ass opponent...
