I have a feeling Mayweather will stop Ortiz.

Alot of people are banking on Floyd by UD, and some are even banking on Ortiz but something tells me Mayweather will look spectacular, almost as good as he did against Gatti. He'll pick Ortiz off, counterpunch him and hit him with straight rights when Victor squares up and rushes in like he always does.

Of course he won't flat out KO Ortiz, but a TKO is likely whether Ortiz quits again or his corner decides to pull the plug on him. Ortiz can talk as much shit as he wants, but i'm sure Victor will get weary when he won't know how to stump Mayweather's speed and timing.

Or maybe i'm making this thread because I just knocked Ortiz out with Floyd on fight night champion.

    I think there's a chance...though I wouldn't bet money on it.

      I saw Lamont hurt Ortiz.

That made me feel like it was possible.

      But unlikely.

I think Ortiz will be too strong for Mayweather. I don't see Mayweather hurting Ortiz. What I can see is Mayweather's reflexes discouraging Ortiz later on in the fight...That is only IF May still has the same reflexes...

I think by round 7, Ortiz is going to be mentally devastated.

I honestly don't believe he is prepared for what he's facing, not physically, but mentally.

              No, it's likely.

Think about it. Like you said if Lamont could hurt Ortiz, and Ortiz quit because Maidana was too much from him, how will he react to Mayweather?

Mayweather hits harder than Lamont, and he will surely be too much for Ortiz. Of course Floyd doesn't hit as hard as Maidana, but he has accumulation power that wears you down, so after 50 right hands Floyd will land, there going to start hurting as if Maidana was punching him all over again. Don't get it twisted, just because Berto laid on the ropes and let Ortiz tee off on him doesn't mean anything, when the going gets tough Ortiz gets going.

See the later rounds of Peterson-Ortiz.

Ortiz will get hit and depending on his mood that day, there's a chance he could quit or be TKO'd. If he's not as "vicious" as he was against Berto and doesn't come back harder every time he's caught clean, I can see this happening.

This, or Ortiz showing up and taking advantage of a discouraged Mayweather will be the result of this fight. Mayweather seems a little less enamored by boxing than he was before his other recent fights.

You could be right but I just don't see Floyd taking enough chances to get the KO.
