technically, he is. He is the absolute definition of 'text book'. By definition of the term and "doing everything right" you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who is 'technically' a better boxer than Finito.
Yeah but unlike Calzaghe. Finito had perfect technique and when faced with a close fight that was ruled a draw against Alvarez he immediately rematched him and beat him. Calzaghe avoided Hopkins after their close fight like the plague.
yes, I agree, and I am not a calzaghe fan although I do respect the fact that he fought hard and fought to win.
This guys is interesting. Was on the Pound 4 Pound list for 8 Consecutive years (1993-2001)
And retired undefeated (51-0), yet not many people talk about
What's the verdict on this guy ? I'm I missing something here.
Since he was a 105 and 108 pound champ nothing is said, but I would say he's the best boxer ever to lace gloves he makes mayweather look sorry. If he had been a bigger man he would be called the greatest ever.

Well there is no such thing as a 'text book' boxer since you don't learn to box through text books. There isn't a right or wrong style in boxing, and there are many different styles. The whole textbook thing doesn't mean anything. Ricardo Lopez never proved himself to be the best of all time with his competition having said that he is definitely an all time great.
