You also said Haye would "brutally KO" and "destroy" Wlad.

    Bute easily beats Pavlik.

      And monkeys will...

....fly out his ass. And when will he develop skills, talent, stamina and thick skin in order to do this? He has always been a B fighter at best. Bute will cut him to ribbons.

He’s fighting the best guys available to him and blowing them out of the ring. It's not his fault that he didn't feature in Super Six. Bute's promoter made an offer to Kessler, but his staff refused it, which was a good idea from their point of view. This debate will end next year anyway, when Bute will fight against Ward or Froch. You really make Pavlik look like a bum, which is not true. He's a quality boxer, a former world champion.

Pavlik faces the same problems in this fight as he did against Martinez. Bute is a taller, bigger southpaw so Kelly wont be the physically stronger in the ring either so its a hards nights for for Pav who would need to be at his best. On the evidence of his last few fights Kellys best days are long behind him and his troubles outside the ring would indicate that fighting Bute right now is a big risk. Yes it would elevate him to a big player at 168 if he won but on the flipside, a loss would likely be physically damaging against a man as capable as Bute.

At the same time its a step up for Bute too. He hasnt done anything amazing so far so the fact is a washed up, blown up, alcohloic middleweight is his biggest challenge yet. It could get interesting if Pavlik turns up focused with a good gameplan. Lets not forget that Andrade effectively knocked out Bute in Canada so Pavlik has a punchers chance atleast.

Well at least Pavlik WAS a quality top fighter. It's just a long time since he last showed anything.

Regarding Bute: It's been well documented that there has been a lot of opportunities missed during his reign. As for the latest Kessler-fight well Sauerland said they made a counter offer for Bute to defend in Copenhagen. Anyway I think that the timing for a Bute-Kessler fight just isnt right as it is now. If Kessler picks up the WBO belt from Stieglitz there might be a a couple of big unification fights ahead.
