very good fighter.........very big p4p power in his hands. Great entertainer, and awesome for the sport. He was lazy, and unfocused alot, and i think he could have been much greater had he been disciplined, and grounded. He has god given power that can't be taught. If he could have built around that, and lived up to his full potential he could have been much better imo. Still, he was great to watch, and made alot of people watch his fights.

I think Hamed was great, but the thing is people remember you for your last performance and thats Hameds problem. He could have come back and beat Barrera, whos to say he coulndt? But he was more entertaining more than anything

He got outboxed by someone as great as Barrera, so thats no disgrace to Hamed. People said if Hamed fought Barrera a bit earlier before he so called went off the rails, he would have trounced barrera, but that cannot be proven.

SO hamed was elite and the way he beat who he beat was the work of a great boxer, but he just messed it up a bit at the end. Most boxers do though dont they?

oh this thread again...for a boxing fan its strange you dont decide to just watch the fights instead of posting about it. I dont know, whatever, each to their own.

He was really good, he was at a level where if he stuck around after the loss he would have had to train harder in order to succeed and would have evolved a lot more. However I think people really overrate his power a lot more than how we overrate Valero. I saw Barrera get hit byHamed and he was never hurt. I honestly think Morales hit harder but that's my own opinion.

Same time, "Prime" Naseem Hamed was a fuckin' animal.
LMAO. NO. If he meant pound for pound then maybe otherwise this is just funny. His power is so overrated. He didn't even buzz Barrera once!!

I wish Mayweather fought this guy at 130 at around the time he got his ass handed to him by Barrera. Unfortunately he got his ass whipped by Barrera so this couldn't happen. He would have got ****ing destroyed by Mayweather and maybe he wouldn't be so hyped today. I'm British and Hamed is so overrated it's unbelievable. Hamed would have gotten whipped by Barrera no matter what... his balance is just too poor.

No. If Barrera wasn't shot, Naseem wouldn't have won. Hamed could get away with his unorthodox opponents, but when he met a HOF fighter in Barrera his flaws were exposed. More style than substance.

Hamed was awesome, I still remember watching him for the first time. The dude was just incredible to watch. It was a sad day when he stopped boxing, he gave up way to easy. Between him and barry sanders my heart got ripped out of me.
