He was an absolute beast, Emmanuel Steward claims he hit harder then Lennox Lewis.

He got lazy as hell and relied on that power, instead of trying to win rounds he tried to just knock guys out and when he met Barrera it backfired, his training camps where becoming a joke at the end aswell.

Same time, "Prime" Naseem Hamed was a fuckin' animal.

He's up there no doubt, maybe not in regards to accomplishments but in regards to his talent/skill he's one of the best, defiantly ahead of Hatton and Eubank anyway...

Technically flawed but carried so much power it sort of negated his flaws

Very charismatic and a character but just a notch below the elite

The bloke looks like a blimp now

Very overrated fighter, great power but his best win came against Kevin Kelly and Augie Sanchez. He fought some past their prime greats but when faced with top talent he was completely dominated by Barrera.

I say overrated because English fans have elevated him to legendary status and as the years go on his power grows more and more legendary.

I think by 2020 he will hit harder than prime Tyson and people will swear by it.

                2 reasons he can't be world class....lol

I loved him to bits. Boxing is a sport. Sport should be entertaining and he certainly was that. Put it this way, if the yanks can forget RRJ's recent history and still hold him with such high regard then I'm sure Naseem getting the same treatment from me. Just wish he'd hung around after the defeat.

Great boxer. He had the skills but he lacked the focus.
I was a big fan. Barrera made him look like a rookie though. Was a pretty shocking thing to watch.

He had unreal punching power. World champ at 21, probably too much too quick, as he became an egotistical maniac because of money, fame and success. I don't think he would have had the technique to come out on top against Marquez, Barrera, morales, but that is 3 of the best ever to come out of Mexico so no shame in that whatsoever, or the loss really...he came up against the best Barrera that night, and to quote manny steward..."the kid just did not want to fight". Steward claimed that hamed did not even spar 12 rounds, and the footage of him sparring he looked awful. Not an excuse for the loss but certainly the performance.
