Nah I think Pacquiao and Maidana punch harder.
Is Ortiz the hardest puncher from 140-147?

If we just talking about top 5....combining both divisions...
In no order
Mayweather
Pacquiao
Khan
Bradley
Ortiz
Then the debate would be between just Pac and Ortiz.
If we looking at just title holders and world champions combining both divisions
Mayweather
Pacquiao
Bradley
Khan
Ortiz
Zaveck
Senchenko
Then the argument will be between Pac and Ortiz.
And, I will give the edge on Pac in that one.Comment

Okay I can see that. Just trying to get a consensus on this.Comment

Pacquiao hits harder than Ortiz.
Who thinks Lamont Peterson would go ten rounds with Manny? Peterson is a sparring partner at best.Comment

He did stagger Margarito in the later rounds--I'd completely forgotten that. Hatton was the result of accumulated damage though, since avoiding punches was beyond him in that fight. Pacquiao landed 65 power punches inside those two rounds.Comment

I honestly think Mike Jones hits harder than Ortiz as well.
Bailey is the main power puncher in both divisions.
I would say Pac hits harder as well...
Ortiz does hit hard though.
And, Berto doesn't have a glass jaw don't be ridiculous. But, his chin is not made or iron either.
Floyd Sr has mentioned that Mike Jones is an incredibly hard hitter with both hands when he worked the mitts with him, going as far to say that he hits harder than the hitman, which is ridiculous, but he must hit quite hard.Comment
