If I remember correctly, Ortiz's first knockdown of Berto was an accumulation of 4-6 punches that eventually overwhelmed him. The second was a clean, well located counter shot to the chin that Berto immediately recovered from. Berto's two knockdowns of Ortiz were clean, booming shots (especially the second) that rung Ortiz hard!
Props to Ortiz for surviving that and deservedly winning the fight, but I just feel Berto landed the more powerful shots of the two. That's just me...

I honestly think Mike Jones hits harder than Ortiz as well.

Bailey is the main power puncher in both divisions.

I would say Pac hits harder as well...

        Ortiz does hit hard though.

And, Berto doesn't have a glass jaw don't be ridiculous. But, his chin is not made or iron either.

That's possible. Ortiz has only beat up Berto at 147.

You don't have to be a monster puncher for that.

          Ask Collazo.

He loads up on those shots and puts everything he has into them though. His power is not as consistent I think.

              How about Kermit at 147?

I think your right about this. If anything, Pac and Ortiz are nearly identical in power but I'm not sure I'd give Pac the edge. Ortiz needs a few more fights at welterweight before we will know anything though.

Depending on how the move back down to 147 affects him. If it doesn't hurt his power than yes(I don't think it will but not 100% sure) then yes his power is up there. He's a legit power puncher. That's the one thing he does good.

And, I think he's fighting Antwone Smith in a couple weeks if I'm not mistaken. Smith is not a bad fighter. It's an interesting fight especially after the Molina fight.

I really don't think Kermit will ever be a factor again though. What do you and Rosales think as far as top fighters of the division? Who are the top 5 guys in terms of power that are either champions or in title contention?
