Mosley fought Floyd about a year and a half after he beat Margarito who was caught using illegal wraps before the fight. Shane fought Mora just 4 months later after Floyd and looked horrible.

Oscar at 154 was already decining when Floyd fought him if Cotto fought him at that stage he wins. The only one that could beat him was Oscar @'54. That's a pickem' fight to me.

Cotto would have given Hatton a life changing beating. I really don't think Marquez could hold up to Cotto's power, especially a prime 140 version of Cotto.

floyd fought oscar when floyd was in his prime while oscar was already past it. if you apply the same situation with a prime cotto, he would have beaten a past prime oscar at 154.

against jmm (again applying the same circumstances that floyd had) cotto would have ktfo jmm at 147.

in short, cotto would have been undefeated had he gone through floyd's resume at 140 up.

If Cotto fought all of Mayweathers opponents from 140-154 would he lose to any of them and if not who do you think would have been his toughest test?

Oscar stops him, Corrales probably wins and I could see Gatti giving Cotto a tough fight.
