    nut case comment.
    heres the deal nut case.
floydie boy hasnt fought at 154 in almost half a decade.
and it was basically a one fight deal at that weight
as for pac, pac couldnt even make the catchweight of 151 for a jr middlweight fight....matter of fact, pac cant even get pass the 147 even on fight nite

the thing with pac and the jr middleweight belt...it was done for the belt, the record 8 weight division title...the fight couldve been made at welterweight but without the 8th title...it was all business and logistics

and for the guy that said pac cherry picks and hasnt fought anyone since fighting cotto...are u a clueless? clottey and margarito are better fighters than u give them credit for...as for the mosley fight, i didnt like that fight even 2 or 3 yrs ago...being that cotto beat mosley and pac demolished cotto. i dont even give a sh/t about the people that say "well, mosley whoop margarito who whoop cotto"...WELL, PAC WHOOPED ALL THREEE (COTTO, MARGARITO,MOSLEY)

And no De La Hoya does not have a bigger frame than Floyd, they both started thier careers at 130, and both have shown that 147 and 154 are not their weight divisions, that 140 was a division that were better suited for both fighters.

If you would have read my post you would know that my point is that niether Floyd or Manny have to fight Sergio, that they are in different weight classes and that Sergio shouldn't be critisized for wanting to and asking to fight Floyd or Manny when history has shown that smaller men have come up to fight at 160. Was is unfair that Duran came up to 160 to fight Hagler? Was it unfair that De La Hoya came up to 160 and fight Hopkins? Was it unfaur that Jose Napoles went up and fought the Carlos Monzon?

Maybe, but they went up to fight the middleweight champion anyway.

So, its not so crazy for Sergio to be calling out Manny and Floyd. That's my point. If Manny and Floyd decline, so be it. But Duran, a career lightweight, and Leonard, a guy who started his career I believe at 130, captured the middleweight crown, maybe Manny and Floyd would want a piece of that division as well. And if they don't thats ok too.
so what if a light heavyweight belt holder was to call out martinez and martinez said no because of the size difference (im talking about weight and body frame, not necessarily the height)...would you also think that theres no problem with this? because a light heavyweight calling out a middleweight in martinez...is like martinez calling out a welterweight.

      • martinez wants that paper and he knows he will get the most with fighters in lower weight classes, maybe he is actually thinking of his age and how everything could change in a couple of years, he might start declining sometime next year for all we know

In my opinion, Sergio Martinez is a natural 154 pounder. Martinez looked like a half a man against Pavlik, and I just don't mean in height, but in frame, weight and everything else. He moved to 160 because he didn't have a fight coming up and quite frankly he needed to make some money.

Sergio will go down to 154 if the fight is a big one and he can make some money.

But here's the thing, if Sergio can move down to 154, didn't Floyd fight De La Hoya at 154? And Didn't Manny fight Margarito at 154 who at fight night weighed 170 pounds?

My point here is this, it's not only a weight issue because Manny fought someone who is as big as Sergio in Margarito, but it's also a matter of skill. Sergio is much more of a threat than Margarito because of the skill he has. Of course Manny's team aren't dumb, they are aware of this and picked a guy who's been damaged, who is slower, and with little technical ability. I am not knocking Manny's win over Margarito, I am just saying that they picked a bigger guy who is not as much a threat as Sergio Martinez.

But Manny should really stay at 147 and fight the Tim Bradley's of the world. Bradley, in my opinion, would be a legit threat.
          bradley a threat to pac?
          haha, yah right...
          bradley is way over rated,
couldnt do squat against another over rated fighter in alexander.
and bradley was so boring against an unknown/unranked welterweight in abregu...A THREAT TO PAC? not even close

hhmm, your entire post is nothing but hate for pac, ITS COOL THO, be your own man ;o)

martinez will lose to fighters that are technical thinking machines...i see pac out willing and out boxing martinez...martinez is a better one punch threat, but by no means can throw the kind of 6 and 7 punch combos in the middle of the ring...the only 7 punch combos i see martinez throwing is when he gets his fighters in trouble against the ropes...but then again, most boxers can do that if his opponant is in trouble against the ropes...

against mayweather, i dont know how this would go..it would be boring i think being that it would be a boxing match of not gettin hit all nite...but i could see a one punch KO for martinez at any given round.

what does height have to do with anything? clottey, margs, and mosley were all taller. yeah those were real challenges alright.
              maricon that's what you are.

then pacquiao is a fucking fraud because he fought an unranked JMW cheat coming off suspension for a vacant belt, with a catchweight. he's not an 8 division champion, he's a 7 division champ. until he fights a decent JMW fighter who's ranked, then he can claim himself that. until then, he's a fraud, just like when the wbc handed saul alvarez his title against a WW matt hatton w/ a catchweight or are about to due with morales/barrios to claim him the 1st mexican 4 division champ.
and wtf, yes he has cherrypicked. clottey was a turtle who shelled up and only came to pick up a paycheck. he got beat by cotto before, why would he fight a guy who just loss to cotto? and at that time, yuri foreman (undefeated and with a 154 title) offered to fight pacquiao but they said he was too "tall and big" yet when after he lost to cotto, they felt it was safe to get margs out of nowhere(who is the same height as foreman) and fight for a vacant 154 belt, with a catchweight. then he goes and tries to fight an old finished mosley (his performance against mayweather and mora clearly showed that) and act like mosley is going to put a good fight against the world's current best fighter. now he's going to try and pass a fight with an older fat marquez at WW like it's going to be a tough fight to end the trilogy.
you guys talk shit about martinez calling out pacquiao and mayweather who are basically 1 division below him, since he can still make 154 fine, yet buy into pacquiao/jmm III where marquez is a 135 lber and has already displayed a ***** performance at welterweight. and even with the dispute about being outweighed on fight night, tell me how much ward and bute weigh on fight night compared to martinez's 170 vs dzinziruk, which i'm sure he'll weigh a bit less if he moved down back to 154.

              • the hypocrit can't make 154, because Williams and Dizy had to move up one division, to middleweight, to fight him.

It not about the money, Martinez is so obssesed to become #1P4P.

                • cant hate on Martinez for wanting the big fights. It is a shame that none of the big fighters want anything to do with him however. I just hope to see him in there with someone who can help him establish himself as a household name

This is the first time that I see ANYONE criticizing a fighter for wanting the best possible fights to become P4P no1 instead of money fights.

P.S. he IS looking for money fights as well just as any other fighter out there, but he wants to get them with the best known fighters on the planet to make sure is shows in the p4p

                    • I don't care if he fights at 168 or not, but I would be interested in him resuming his career. Yesterday someone asked me if he was retired. Seems like it!
