The third world country **** is valid, but you can't say it's right that ethnic ********** are allowed to celebrate their religion in schools whereas christians are denied the right to do so in some cases as it may be deemed offensive.

Are you for real? Why do you need to celebrate christmas, eid or wateva in SCHOOLS??????? WHY??????? Celebrate it in your own time. Everybody has a month of holiday to celebrate christmas, but I dont see a month of holiday to celebrate Eid ?????

They have Churches in Pakistan but not to the extent of the amount of Mosques in Britain.

Well it's a Christian country and it is what has been done for a long time. We shouldn't have to adapt to accomodate others. If you want to live here, play by the rules. It is something kids have enjoyed at school for years. When I was at primary school we used to make decorations for Christmas - everyone loved it it was fun. Now that has been abolished to cater for the religious views of other faiths living in a Christian country. I don't care what you think, I think it is wrong and you will never change my opinion on that.

Hardly a christian country anymore, Church had lost more than one in ten of its regular worshippers between 1996 and 2006, with a fall from more than one million to 880,000. I am not asking for Eid holidays i was simply referring that christians still have the rights to celebrate christmas.........

Refer to my edited post. I won't argue I'm just saying that it has always been a bit of fun. Whether the country is religious anymore or not is besides the point. Many children enjoyed celebrating Christmas at school whether they were religious or not but now it isn't allowed? Give me a break. Nobody is asking people to believe Christianity but it is something that should not be taken away. Perhaps this sort of behaviour is contributing to the death of Christianity in the UK. Please not that I am an atheist and I still think its BS.

Well it's an obvious waste of time and money, they could instead be doing something positive. Obviously children who don't have christian beliefs will find it offensive that they have to take part in something that they dont believe in. If christian children get to put up decorations "for fun" then ******, sikhs or ***s should have the right to put up decorations "for fun" during eid, Yom kippur, diwali or wateva.
