Ortiz is a solid southpaw WW with pop in both hands, a sturdy chin, and good boxing fundamentals with nothing to lose and everything to gain. That's very dangerous imo, but I will admit his footwork will be his downfall. The reality is there is no fighter close to the level of Floyd talent wise. If Floyd gets past Vic like I envision and Pacquiao doesn't fight him, I think he should just say **** the Wild Card fighters and fight Martinez. There trying the classic bait and switch, but beating Khan does no more for Floyds legacy than beating Vic. Sergio lived and fought in Spain, and he also fought in England. Im sure he has a decent fan base in Europe, and the fight has enough appeal to sell out any arena or stadium given Floyd popularity over there. If Marquez wasn't fighting at 147, then i would agree that he is better competition than Ortiz but he is fighting at 147 so i disagree. JMM just doesn't carry that weight well and to be fair, the fight with Mayweather was a joke. i mean, i love watching JMM but not at 147.

He's coming off the biggest win of his career where he was the underdog. Some fighters are capable of rebounding from tough fights, and pressing forward to be great. It's not like he sacrificing weight or height, he will come in the best shape of his life and ready to defend his crown. All the pressure is on Floyd, and zero is on Vic.
