It seems to me that of the three mwentioned above, the only one all of who's opponents were themselves World Champions, was Ray Robinson. As for Armstrong, all but one, were champions.

    That alone, shows class.

Before 1980 shouldnt count.... no question Greb, Robinson and Armstrong would lose, to any top 3 fighter of there division from 1980 to now.... meaning Robinson and Greb lose to Hagler,Nunn, RJJ,Toney,Hopkins IMO.... Armstrong PBF,ODLH and SRL and Trinidad in there primes....

                Current fighters:

                Pacquiao (6):

Barrera, Morales, Marquez, De La Hoya, Cotto.

Hatton is marginal. Recently in a poll in NSB most people thought Hatton should get in to the HoF.

Right now Margarito won't get in IMO.

                Mayweather (5):

De La Hoya, Mosley, Marquez, Hatton? Gatti?

Maybe one day the likes of Corrales and Castillo might get in.

                Hopkins (4):

Jones Jr, Trinidad, De La Hoya and maybe Winky Wright?

For Mayweather, I think you're missing Hernandez. Hernandez only lost to ODLH and a prime Mayweather. I think Hatton will get in solely based on his win against Kosta.. I don't think Gatti is HOF material. Maybe one of the most exciting, but not HOF. Same applies to Corales. God bless all 3 souls.

The real question should be "Who has beaten the most hall of famers while they were still hall of fame quality fighters?" Take Manny for instance. Pac "beat" Marquez while he was still top shelf. Thats it. One fighter. Mab wasnt hall of fame quality once they fought, Morales wasnt, Hatton never was, Oscar was years off of being in his hall of fame form, Cotto is borderline, Margrito isnt hall of fame, Clottey isnt hall of fame. So...Pac "beat" one hall of fame fighter, in a fight that most people gave to the other guy.

Whether they were over the hill or not, should count. You just can't ignore that.

We can't ignore who Roy Jones was when Calzaghe fought him, and just count him and say Calzaghe is great for that win. Or we can't mention Leonard for Camacho as a win over an ATG...You have to mention a "faded" ATG. Same for Marciano fighting a 40 year old Louis. Etc. It does matter who were the Hall of Fame fighters at the time of their loss.
