Hopkins fought EVERYONE there was to fight at 160, and the only "little guys" he fought at MW was Trinidad who was a MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION when Hopkins fought him and it was to unify ALL of the belts, and Oscar, who did look bad at 160 vs sturm, but that was his money fight, not a single fighter in the world would turn down a fight with Oscar.
20, 100, 5, 10, etc years. Don't matter. He was is a great at the weight just like Hopkins is at 160. Both fought bums but you never know who has your number.

I already exposed you with FACTS about the small guys. You're going to come up with the age excuse like you always do. That's your cop out.

LMAO @ Oscar not being able to make weight. Get out of here with that crap.

So what if they accuse me of trolling. Doesn't affect me one bit. But don't you think it's ironic that I get green ks then?

I think he's a great boxer. I do hate on BHop for the shit that he deserves but I also give him mad props when he does "great" things. Like he has recently is one of them.
dude. before oscar fought Vargas he could no longer make 147. he was having trouble @ 147 so he moved up to 154 & did fairly well. the hopkins fight was only 2 pounds away from 154 WTF (thats called "hating")

tito was having trouble making weight @ 154 & moved up to 160 (looked good at the weight) & eventually fought hopkins.

hopkins had cleaned out most of the guys that were in his weight. thats what martinez should do. FIGHT actual middleweights (clean out 160) and then a mayweather & pac bout may be down the line for him.

hopkins was simply destroying everyone within his weight & around his weight. also fighters such as tarver (when hopkins fought him) was a great big man at the time.

in realty hopkins resume is above both manny & mayweathers.

if you gone give manny credit for a shot oscar and a shot moslley..you gotta give hopkins credit for a shot rjj

B.Hop threads seem to attract mor Calzaghe fans than B.Hop ...anyway, B.Hop is the greatest of the active fighters excluding NOONE!!!...this opinion is shared by many and not just I....Calzaghe was awarded a SD victory that many ringside ppl had B.Hop winning....so for dudes to come in here and gloat is just telling me that Calzaghe let you dudes down.....yea yea...2 judges saw him winning but you dudes know deep down under all that corny hate...that B.Hop isway greater than Joe....thats what make yall flock these type of threads...its painful...and THE comment is just alcohol on the wound ....I can mess with you dudes all day but daggum does it way better than I could ever....so hold this until yall daddy...I mean daggum comes in here and makes a fool of the "Calzaghe is a ATG but B.Hop aint ****" crew....B.Hop beat some GREAT fighters....Joe's greatest win is against B.Hop...over 40 yrs old and he got a SD....his biggest win is against a career MW....thats 160...Joe fought at 168....so who was the bigger man?!?...so Joe's biggest win is against a smaller man?!?....wow....see how the hypocrits work?...smh

b-hop is A LOT greater than Calzaghe. You'd have to be blind not to see that.

Doesn't take away the fact that Joe beat him though, and the whole controversy surrounding that fight (all of a sudden) is a joke.

Ummm a legit BIG 160 pounder who rehydrated pretty much to around 170. Sure man.

Tito beating Joppy may look great but Joppy always ******. Look at Tito's record against someone decent above 154. It's not that great. Consider the fact that Tito is a great fighter and to me that shows that he didn't belong there.

Tarver isn't a great big man and NEVER was. A good big man, yea. Definitely not great. Who else?

cotto was at 145.....marg was not that same marg that we know him as (& i think we know why) JMM beat him both times in my opinion. also you have to look at the diversity of the oponents that both guys have faced. hopkins have faced volume punchers, slick fighters. power punchers. everything.
he's fighting yet another solid fighter in dawson (at the age of 46 for goodness sakes) hopkins resume is WORLDCLASS. so much so that fans refuse to acknowledge how great it is & would rather down play it.

hatton, marg, diaz, cotto. are all come forward fighters.

it's also about how diverse your opponents *styles* have been.
