i really get tired of post stating floyd ducked these top rank fighters. if a fighter by nature is a ducker then it wouldnt just be top rank fighters. it would be a wide range of fighters. with cotto top rank didnt want to put cotto in with floyd as it would have ruined a top prospect. vs tony arum wanted to low ball floyd and since floyd learned the cash flow side of boxing, he wouldnt go for the b.s. and vs manny, its top rank holding up the fight. check out fight hypes time line which exposes every lie top rank told. and how has he only fought lighter boxers??????? he went up in wt to fight oscar. insted of wt draining him. he fought chico corrales a feared power puncher and ko'd him. you hate floyd and thats ok but at least tell the truth.

Floyd made his bones between 130 and 140 and you can't dispute that. He is one of the greatest fighters of his era, the greatest defensive fighter of his era and an all time great. But, welter was regarded as the best division 2006-2008. Cotto, Margarito, Pwill, Mosley, Berto, Clottey, etc. Watch the De La Hoya post fight when Floyd was asked in the ring about retiring and not fighting a loaded welter division: Cotto, Margartio, Mosley and Williams specifically. He said he had "nothing else to prove" during his prime years of prime fighters in his own weight class. You can dispute that he didn't fight the best welters during his campaign @ 147 (2005-present).i really get tired of post stating floyd ducked these top rank fighters. if a fighter by nature is a ducker then it wouldnt just be top rank fighters. it would be a wide range of fighters. with cotto top rank didnt want to put cotto in with floyd as it would have ruined a top prospect. vs tony arum wanted to low ball floyd and since floyd learned the cash flow side of boxing, he wouldnt go for the b.s. and vs manny, its top rank holding up the fight. check out fight hypes time line which exposes every lie top rank told. and how has he only fought lighter boxers??????? he went up in wt to fight oscar. insted of wt draining him. he fought chico corrales a feared power puncher and ko'd him. you hate floyd and thats ok but at least tell the truth.
1) Sharmba Mitchell: 1-0 @ 147 and a career jr welter
2) Zab Judah: 4-2 @ 147 and coming off a loss to a journeyman
3) Carlos Baldomir: a career welter/jr middle journeyman with a solid win over Zab and a win over Gatti who was never effective @147
4) Oscar de la Hoya: @ 154, hall of fame welter
5) Ricky Hatton: 1-0 @ 147, disputed win vs Collazo and should have been stopped in the 12th rd
6) Juan M. Marquez: 1st fight @ welter limit, career 135 and below
7) Shane Mosley: Hall of fame welterComment

Great post!!!!! nobody can dispute any of that. But then again you will probably get responses comparing Fraud's opponent to Pac's opponent.Comment

i don't get it, he needs to get old and slow down so we can find out what he's made of. So essentially he needs to lose what he's been made of for the last 15 years as a fighter, and decline before we can find out anything about floyd as a boxer???Comment

I wasn't so much arguing with what he's saying, he's entitled to criticise, but it's how he's saying it. Merchant has an attitude when he speaks of, and to, fighters like he's above them and is often condescending in talking down to them.Comment

Getting off the xylocaineI get what you saying but I have to disagree. When a person slows down or are not at the top of their game is not when you see the real them because what you seeing is not the best version of that person.
What is it from PBF that you haven't seen? He fought hurt against Castillo, fought with broken hands, got rocked a few times (Corley, Mosley) and came back to win in style. So what is it that you still feel you haven't seen from PBF?
