  • Comments Thread For: Merchant Rips Judah, Talks Mayweather vs Khan

Veteran HBO analyst Larry Merchant has never been one to hide his feelings and I can’t say I was surprised when he showed little enthusiasm months back towards the Amir Khan-Zab Judah clash. Often skeptical of Judah in the past, Merchant didn’t know if the flashy southpaw from Brooklyn would be able to hang with Khan and this past weekend he was proved correct.

Larry speaks the truth about Zab Judah cause he always got an excuse to a loss.

merchant reinforces my post from yesterday. when floyd loses a step, his bouts will be more competitive. only then will we see what floyd is really made of.

        real talk

i dnt think khan is ready for floyd, but who knows floyd show some rust against shane i think these layoffs he's been taking is affecting him just a tad, all it take in boxing is jus a split second, jus like roy jones vs tarver we saw the end of a legend

I get what you saying but I have to disagree. When a person slows down or are not at the top of their game is not when you see the real them because what you seeing is not the best version of that person.

What is it from PBF that you haven't seen? He fought hurt against Castillo, fought with broken hands, got rocked a few times (Corley, Mosley) and came back to win in style. So what is it that you still feel you haven't seen from PBF?

He might be right but it's uncomfortable to read Larry Merchant being so publicly derogatory about a fighter when he has never fought a day in his life. There's a way to put your point across without being overtly disrespectful.

so from what I get from mostly ALL the boxing ppl is that...Floyd's toughest opponent is his birth certificate....thats some crazy respect!! ....I mean cats are actually throwing his age in the air like Glen Johnson, Tarver and the great B.Hop aint still gettin major W's over young dudes while they're in their 40's....Floyd vs age...live on HBO PPV...lmao

I think floyd would easily handle khan, khan needs at least 2 more years of developing imo, thats whether he ever gets to floyds or pacs level

Its pac v floyd for top spot, that fight just has to be made early next year, the rest of em can fight for 3rd spot
