What is it from PBF that you haven't seen? He fought hurt against Castillo, fought with broken hands, got rocked a few times (Corley, Mosley) and came back to win in style. So what is it that you still feel you haven't seen from PBF?
we rarely see floyd in danger because he rarely gets hit. mosley had floyd in the worse danger i've ever seen. as he gets older and slows down, he will get hit more. he will be forced to rely less on speed and more on heart and will.

Good thing for Floyd is, like the guys you mentioned, he has the skills and ring intelligence to carry him even when his speed starts to decline. On the other hand, the opponents he has coming up are a bit more serious than the guys Hopkins has been schooling.

If he was off the mark, I'd agree. I don't think a person needs qualifications to speak the truth, though. Larry is a very intelligent guy who has been in the sport for a long time, and I respect his insight.

The same could be said about the vast, vast majority of people on this forum, myself included

Opinions are what makes the earth go round, and Larry is spot on in his opinion of Zab

I disagree with you. Thats what happens to guys like Jones, Mosley, & Zab who are all gifted fighters that rely on speed & reflexes. Floyd doesnt rely on that. He just hast that. He will be better then all of them when he declines because he's the most fundementaly sound fighter in the game. He's the smartest fighter in the game, and he's the best defensive fighter in the game.

Thats why a guy like Hopkins can still dominate. If I ever build a fighter, I would want them to have those 3 key ingredients 1st & formost. Im not saying Floyd wont slow & lose but Im saying that he will have a much better chance then those other guys because he has those 3 things to rely on where as those other guys were just all about the speed & reflexes

I don't think Merchant was trying to be respectful or disrespectful by bringing up floyd's age. lol He was just pointing out the obvious. There is no myth to fighters fading away in their 30's..it happens to the majority of them.

Mayweather wants to fight in the UK so Golden Boy make it happen. Of course their could be problems with the Pacman if Amir gets to fight Mayweather first Manny would be losing a lot of money if Amir defeats Mayweather in march next year because the best time for Golden Boy and Top Rank to make Mayweather vs Pac is Cinco De Mayo weekend.

Speed and reflexes were never Hopkins' strength. His awkward style, old school tricks and ring intelligence is what kept him in the ring.
Unlike Hopkins, Floyd's speed and reflexes is very important and needed for his counter-punching, "hit and don't get hit" style.
