Interesting - thanks for posting. It's crazy how the values vary so much. I wonder if they have some type of formula like age, record, demographics to determine purses or if they just use their opinion on market value / popularity?

ESPN likes to run a budget of about $50-&%K for Friday Night Fights. That is for the WHOLE CARD. There are a couple of exceptions, like when Zab Judah fought.

Arum's Latin Fury and Pinoy Power cards run about 50-100K PPV's. So, he likes to keep the total purses under $500K

I remember hearing Mayorga only got paid 50k because he owed Don King some money.

Hope those ESPN guys have day jobs. 1k for probably one month's training camp aint much.

what should piss other boxers off is the fact that Tommy Zbikowski was paid ($50,000) and he is a Part Time Boxer

                Boxing Pay Scale SUCKS though!

Trying to pay Trainers and others off of a $8,000 pay, how the *** does that work?

Oh man if that's true, that's like a 95% to 5% purse split for Cotto. Lulz.
