And thats why i like the ufc. Top boxers get far to much thats why you got a lot of fighters ducking others.

If you really think about it when you factor in the amount of time put in with the amount of money paid, it's not that bad. Even the best fighters in the world are training no more than 40 hours a week. You compare that to your average day laborer who puts in 50 hours for his 45,000 a year and it's not bad.
Aside from the obvious health and pain concerns the job pays well overall. That's why journeyman fighters fight more often.Comment

How much dows a PPV Latin Fury or Pinoy Power cost ?ESPN likes to run a budget of about $50-&%K for Friday Night Fights. That is for the WHOLE CARD. There are a couple of exceptions, like when Zab Judah fought.
Arum's Latin Fury and Pinoy Power cards run about 50-100K PPV's. So, he likes to keep the total purses under $500KComment

Mayorga got what he got because he owes King a whole bunch of money and also heard something about the **** charges, that he owes his country or the girl or something a bunch. The only thing shocking to me is Donaire pay. Donaire was in a very big fight to boxing fans and only got 350 grand for it. He should be making much more especially considering the live gate is much higher for his fights than many other fighters who make more. He should of been paid about double that.Comment

That's the one that pissed me off the most.
Not really talented. No one is talking about him. He doesn't even want to go far in boxing; Its just his side job. So you pay him 50k? **** Tommy Z.Comment

Anderson right now is the best pound for pound in MMA, but it's between him and Fedor for the best in MMA history.Comment

Remember, this is the gross purse. A manager may take 30%. Trainer 10%. Cornermen may get a night's pay. Perhaps you have to cake off the sanctioning body.If you really think about it when you factor in the amount of time put in with the amount of money paid, it's not that bad. Even the best fighters in the world are training no more than 40 hours a week. You compare that to your average day laborer who puts in 50 hours for his 45,000 a year and it's not bad.
Aside from the obvious health and pain concerns the job pays well overall. That's why journeyman fighters fight more often.
Then you may have exceeded camp allocation.
Quite often, the promoter has fronted the boxer some money.
...and THEN taxes.Comment
