Why is Martinez calling out smaller fighters

He wants to fight the pound for pound best...and get paid. Who do you want him to fight?
You know Mayweather has fought smaller guys(Hatton and Marquez in gross mismatches) and gotten paydays as well... what a twat...
Just keep being obtuse...Comment

How about he fight the winner of Ward v Froch?Comment

Floyd's already entertained the possibility of a Martinez faceoff during Mayweather/Mosley post fight conference. If Floyd has no issue with the match up, why should we? Current Fight fans focus on the Pac superfight however whenever it happens and Floyd wins, the victory will be marginalized within a weeks time. Floyd winning the Middleweight trumps anything his peers have accomplished. That's the win future generations will talk about. More than just a fight that today's 'gayweather' detractor's harp about.Comment

Martinez has only called out guys to fight him in a weight class they've already fought in. ****, Pacquiao fought for Martinez's title less than a year ago!
Mayweather, Pacquaio, ect don't want to fight at 154 again or don't want to fight Martinez cause its too risky, Cottos scared to death of him, whatever. That's their business. They call the shots and if they don't want to fight, they don't want to fight.
But quit looking for reasons to attack Martinez as a person and fighter just because YOUR guy doesn't want to get in the ring with him. Thats not directed at the TS, that's directed at all the Martinez haters who adopted that position to give their favorite fighter (be it Pac, May, Cotto, or Chavez jr) some excuse why he shouldn't have to fight the BEST fighter at 154/160.
Martinez JUST moved up to 160 over a year ago, and not because he had trouble making 154. Saying that he should move up AGAIN if he wants fights is a ****ing joke.Last edited by paulf; 07-23-2011, 06:29 PM.Comment
