I agree. What casual fans in this country will pay 15 quid and stay up to the early hours of the morning to watch an American and a Philippine fight? Not many is my guess...Comment

Amir Khan vs Marcos Maidana was on normal Sky so i fully expect Carl Froch vs Andre Ward to be the same.
Have Sky actually ever made an event that's on in the early hours of the morning PPV?Comment

That fight will probably be a stinker anyway, names don't mean anything anymore, look at Haye Klit....
On the other hand you had Paul Samuels vs Chris Samuels, no exposure but a PPV worthy fight..Comment

You are both idiots there have been a few fights that have been shown on box office that haven't involved british fighters...ie de la hoya vs hopkins
de la hoya vs pacquiao was im pretty sure as well.
Im pretty sure I could think of quite a few others, ie Tyson fights.Comment

I'm pretty sure Khan - Maidana was on the 'Gr8 Britain vs the World' Box Office PPV where there was a big Warren card in England then Khan in the early hours. They've had plenty of Hatton PPVs in the early hours as well.Comment

I would be interested to know the numbers for those PPV's. I bet none of them broke the 100 thousand mark.Comment

yea but pac-de la hoya was supported by other british fights, khans first fight back against ***an i think not sure bout the hopkins one but it was prob supported as well.Comment

You might be right there actually. But even so you still had the big Warren card and the Khan fight was just a bonus. No way would they PPV a khan fight on its own in the early hours of the morning.
Hatton and Calzaghe don't count as they were huge house hold names. Froch and Khan are nowhere near that level (in terms of popularity).Comment
