Sky have dumped Boxing PPV until 2013!!!

First i have heard of this? I heard it was going to be on normal Sky.

i dont know, i remember froch done a Q&A on his twitter and someone asked him and he said Sky Box Office..........

Absolutely out of the question.

No fight on Sky showing non-British fighter(s) would be on PPV, never happened before, nor will in the future.

I agree. What casual fans in this country will pay 15 quid and stay up to the early hours of the morning to watch an American and a Philippine fight? Not many is my guess...

Amir Khan vs Marcos Maidana was on normal Sky so i fully expect Carl Froch vs Andre Ward to be the same.

That fight will probably be a stinker anyway, names don't mean anything anymore, look at Haye Klit....

de la hoya vs pacquiao was im pretty sure as well.

Im pretty sure I could think of quite a few others, ie Tyson fights.

I'm pretty sure Khan - Maidana was on the 'Gr8 Britain vs the World' Box Office PPV where there was a big Warren card in England then Khan in the early hours. They've had plenty of Hatton PPVs in the early hours as well.

You might be right there actually. But even so you still had the big Warren card and the Khan fight was just a bonus. No way would they PPV a khan fight on its own in the early hours of the morning.

Hatton and Calzaghe don't count as they were huge house hold names. Froch and Khan are nowhere near that level (in terms of popularity).
