I think Hatton is gearing towards the 2006' summer mega fight between himself and Mayweather. (He's just doing the belt collecting at the mo...)

I think we should be more worried about Mayweathers business sense... I can see him agreeing to fight Hatton for 80/20 split and nothing less. - of course, the fight will never happen if Mayweather is thinking along these lines.

Come on, no-one claims Maussa is the equal of Pretty-Boy but he holds a belt and Hatton will increase his rep. by getting it. If he wins. Think about the negotiations for the superfights. It's always about the 'drawing power' and all that ****. Floyd is going to be unable to make excuses to avoid Hatton in demanding 99% of the $$$ and won't fight without it or by claiming that Hatton is not importatnt enough to fight.
Fight fans need to call bull**** on all the fights that get avoided. It doesn't change the situation but at least it brings it out in the open when fighters avoid fights with obvious strong challengers. Until Floyd is DEMANDING Hatton I don't see that we can accuse Hatton of ducking him. 2 years down the line potentially undefeated then Hatton will have no choice legacy-wise.

The entire boxing world will be demanding Hatton-May, but only if Hatton dispatches Maussa in dramatic fashion and then stays busy by demolishing a couple other top guys. If Hatton can build his appeal to the North American audience, then Floyd's team will recognize this and adjust accordingly.

However, if Hatton continues to fight and beat guys in the fashion he did Zoo, his appeal on this side of the pond will wane. It's not particularly interesting to witness such a display, despite the positives such as Ricky's high output and display of chin. If Maussa is another ugly fight, Ricky's bargaining power will be diminished, despite wearing another belt.

By the way. If you can, check out Maussa-Cotto to see what has been known for a long while about Maussa. That man was given his championship by an arrogant opponent, which will now likely become Ricky's. Maussa is not highly regarded.

Why could'nt he fight Maussa away from his home base?I know it is unlikely but I would not be upset if Maussa KOs his ass.

              none.

warren has an exclusive ontact with the MEN arena so hatotn won be fighting ther while he isnt with warren.

I was not making fun of him or implying anything I just would like to see him fight more and we don't usually get to see his fights if they are taking place over there.
