Nah I believe he killed himself.
Do you believe Gatti was murdered?

His fans and family are just in denial. The dude had a ******* problem and a ****ty marriage. The events that happened that day that were documented by Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel (hitting his wife in public, beating up a security guard that tried to break it up, getting hit with rocks by the crowd that gathered) reveal that the dude had some problems.
I don't see how people try to say his wife killed him. It was a physical impossibility for his wife to have hung him up there himself, so how did he get strung up?
They were staying at a resort with security guards and cameras, you cant just walk in with no one noticing or being seen on camera. And both room keys were in the room the whole night. So what happened? Did his killers teleport in like on Star Trek?
Regardless, it takes nothing away from what he did in the ring. RIP Champ.Last edited by paulf; 07-21-2011, 03:59 AM.Comment

The circumstances suggest it enough that I can accept someone feeling that way. I personally don't, but things seemed very shady.Comment

it was a ****ty 3rd world country where the police and security are corrupt as hell, and considering gatti had millions of US dollars (that his wife was going to receive when he died), how hard is it to believe that she broke them off a piece? His fans and family are just in denial. The thing I have the hardest time getting past is the fact that she said she came downstairs that night to get a bottle for the baby, she said she saw him laying there and thought he was just "passed out", and went back upstairs.
The reason why that is su****ious to me is because they showed pictures of the kitchen where they were staying in the hotel. The area where his body was laying and where the stairs were located, she would have litterally had to have stepped OVER him to get around the kitchen table. The photos that showed Arturo laying there showed the VERY large puddle of blood around his head. THERE IS NO WAY SHE SAW HIM, STEPPED OVER HIM and went back upstairs - without seeing all that blood. It's just impossible. And there would have had to be enough light on for her to see he was there and to know where to step over him, so she couldn't have NOT seen the blood. Is it possible she saw it and just didn't care? Maybe. But my gut tells me she had a hand in his death, one way or another. And I'm FAR from a conspiracy theorist.
For those saying it was impossible for anyone to get passed security without someone seeing.... if you watch the video with the Italian detective, he changed his story (and stance) atleast once during the interview, and acted shady as hell when countered with some legitimate questions.Comment

"omfgtwasimpossible to get in the room cause you can only get in by keycard..."
..that the wife easily could've slipped to someone, or held the door open after gaining access. *yawns* @ the 'foolproof she's innocent' columbo's around here.Comment
