I think what Merchant said was right about how American promoters should take note. I was watching it like "Now that's how The Heavyweight Champion of the World" makes an entrance (nevermind the timing delay coming out of the dressing room). Foreman being a part of it, the creativity, playing to the Wlad/Haye pre fight build up, the music, pyro, lights, etc.
Now I am not saying an entrance is only good with all of that Hollywood (see Tyson). However, if a fighting like Wlad doesn't have the personality of an Ali, the excitement of a Holyfield or the on air menace of a Tyson, they do him well in his entrances. American's don't receive him because he isn't American. I completely understand wanting an American Heavyweight champion whether white or black. But Wlad deserves his due. He is dominant in what is given to him in his era. That's all you can ask of a champion.
Any non fan of Boxing would watch that and truly feel that he is the Heavyweight Champion. However the fight didn't help that cause. Either way, even though you can't control how the fight actually turns out, I like the effort put into the event.
