Aside from it being 30 minutes long, yes the intros were awesome. American fighters and promoters literally put no thought into making it an "event". If you watch the Klitschko's or Bute or even Naseem Hamed's stuff, these guys really know/knew how to make an exciting atmosphere right before the battle. No one does this in the states.

I've seen trade shows with more excitement with 1/100,000 of the budget.

You dont even need a tune or anything for an entrance, the entrances for FOTC were good with out all that tacky stuff, to be fair i am a right moaner at times, i find even Buffer a bit over the top these days he now introduces trainers, what next he could introduce the cut man and do a little jig before hand.

Entrance are better than the fight itself.

When did Merchant "complain" about Naz's entrance? Im pretty sure he said it was great and could get young people into the sport. You're a moron

I was watching it like "Now that's how The Heavyweight Champion of the World" makes an entrance (nevermind the timing delay coming out of the dressing room). Foreman being a part of it, the creativity, playing to the Wlad/Haye pre fight build up, the music, pyro, lights, etc.

Now I am not saying an entrance is only good with all of that Hollywood (see Tyson). However, if a fighting like Wlad doesn't have the personality of an Ali, the excitement of a Holyfield or the on air menace of a Tyson, they do him well in his entrances. American's don't receive him because he isn't American. I completely understand wanting an American Heavyweight champion whether white or black. But Wlad deserves his due. He is dominant in what is given to him in his era. That's all you can ask of a champion.

Any non fan of Boxing would watch that and truly feel that he is the Heavyweight Champion. However the fight didn't help that cause. Either way, even though you can't control how the fight actually turns out, I like the effort put into the event.
                      agree 100%...

now only if the fight could have matched half of the entrance and overall show it would have been somethin else.
