But that was without a professional nutritionist and conditioning expert.
Honestly, even a personal chef can make a big difference depending on what end of the division your walk-around weight normally sits at.Comment

Mike Tyson had two intangibles that Abraham simply does not possess.
And Mike was way more skilled than Abraham, both offensively and defensively.
Abraham struggled to make the same impact against the larger guys at 168.
His power was not as dominant, therefore he struggled to get his game going to the same extent that he did at 160. And they punch a lot harder than the average'ish guys that AA fed on at MW, which is why he had no answer for Froch.
IMHO, you are correct, the step up in competition was too much for AA, but that is because the physical nature of his reasonably limited style was not as effective against the larger, sharper guys at SMW.
Just MHO, many will disagree.Comment

He does, just not at 168, against larger more durable opponents.
Honestly guys, power is the most over-rated aspect in boxing.
I would love a dollar for every time I have seen a limited "power-puncher" exposed by a guy who was simply a better fighter (Kirkland anyone?)..... and I firmly believe that everyone has their "best weight".
AA's is at MW, no question.
I do agree that Abraham was over-rated, largely untested, and has a limited style..... but his style (the power-game) was more effective against smaller less durable opponents that were much more wary of his punch.
Nobody at 168 respected his game (power) too much.Comment

Anyone who thinks that Jnr would whip AA's arse " easily " at 160, is a dreamer.....
* Abraham was over-rated, now he is not, but Jnr still is
* Abraham was largely untested, now he is not, but Jnr still is
* Abraham was limited, and still is, but Jnr sure aint no boxing master eitherComment

@ LEaduppercut, I gotta agree with you, Abraham hasn't showed any heart lately, I think his skills are there but hiding somewhere, but he fought da best of da best at both weight classes, if he gets his head right, he can give alot of the big boys like Sturm, Martinez and Pirog a good run.. If not, i agree should retire...Comment
