lara thinks he's important now. but i'm glad they knocked the 3 judge out.that was cheating red handed.but lara don't think that you're elite because you got robbed against an shot, and easy to be hit paul williams.

Classy letter from Lara. Personally I would like to see him move on to another big fight. He beat Williams convincingly & if the judges had got it right there'd be no call for a rematch. Hope to see you back soon!

Stop hating, Lara fought like a classically trained Cuban fighter, he should be very proud of himself and confident in his abilities

I know what I'm going to say is unpoular but I scored the fight 115 - 113 Lara and I'm not a Williams fan. So if one or two round are judged a different way, there is NO MAJOR ROBERY. Yes, I thought Lara won but Williams was not given credit for the punches landed to the body and the mountain of work he done in between the big shot. If Lara landed on average 5 big lefts a round lets say those shots won him 30 seconds what happened the other 2:30 seconds? Some judges don't favor counter-punchers because if there are two counter-punchers in a fight we get boring fights.... Of course Lara landed the cleaner shots because its easier to counter-punch than to punch a defensive target. But the key word is cleaner which doesn't mean that Williams shots weren't clean it's just that Lara shots were cleaner. Williams threw twice as many punches and they both basically landed the same amount of punches so why is it a major robery when the guy that did more work, threw the most punches got the close decision? This is what happens to counter-punchers from time to time but if they don't like it, they can always be more exciting and go for the KO and take it out of the judges hands but if they did that, they wouldn't be counter-punchers. Basically I've seen a lot bigger and worse roberies in boxing, and I can't cry foul when both guys stayed on their feet the whole fight and they landed the same amount of punches and the guy that got the decision threw twice as many punches as his opponent.

Lara showed skill and determination not to be bullied by the bigger man inside the ring. He should definitely be back twice more.
Good post.......I would like to see Lara vs K9, and Molina deserves a title shot too, they can meet up down the road once they both have a belt, that would be better than to have a rematch now IMO

unlike wolak's pressure and work rate, where a lot of his shots were CLEAN, head snapping shots. Williams literally landed basically ALL "pity patty" shots. for every 10 pitty pat punch williams THREW, he landed one. . . while lara landed a clean, wig splitting shot to that one pitty patty shot

i think VANES vs. LARA is also a good fight now

Vanes should get a title shot, fight Lara when he has a belt and Lara is #1 contender like he is now

So you scored the fight for Lara even though you think that you have to get credit for throwing more than your opponent even if you land much less, of course for you is not going to b a robbery.

I really think you need to read my post again and yes in most close rounds I give the edge to the person making the fight and taking the risk to be countered. But, I'm not alone many in boxing agree with that... But like life and anything, there is always exceptions to the rule. If a round is close or a toss up, I mostly go with the busier fighter. If judges don't score that way we will have a lot more Cory Spinks and Paulie M's in boxing... Guys with 13% KO rates. To the other guy that commented about the shots landed. Not all of Williams shots were pitty pat and not all of Lara shots were bombs. I said Lara landed the cleaner shots, and I don't think any person on earth would disagree that its easier to land countershots than it is to hit a defensive target. Maybe, I'm wrong but I judge like that. In every other major sport both sides get an equal chance at offense and defense except boxing. Guys can go twelve rounds and not take any risk and the only reason that the fight is worth watching is because the other guy is taking all the risk to make the other guy look good by landing counter shots. If Williams chose to fight like Lara every one would be crying about how boring the fight was because both guys were waiting for the other to punch first... Its just my point of view, you don't have to like it or agree with it but its not crazy... NOBODY wants to see to counter-punchers fight...
