Wasnt Roach just quoted as saying Ortiz was killing himself making 140 when above 140 Freddie said he gave Pac hell in some of the best gym wars your gunna see , people are very quick to sink the boot into fighters on NSB I dont think Berto is as bad as his knockers try to portray , maybe Ortiz was just that good on the night .Comment

Yes exactly it was an uncompetitive fight with Floyd , lucky they didnt have a history defining trilogy fight at a weight that was fair for both , then Floyd would have looked like a scumbag trying to stiff history instead of just putting on an exhibition boxing match to blow the cobb webs off after 2 yrs out of the ring ,,,, you dont see the difference ?Comment

Look dude... I loooooove Victor Ortiz...And i'm not taking nothing away from him...But... he doesn't even have a decent jab.... either a dominant right hook.
He still a threat to any top fighter in the sport, but was Berto's first real threat....and Berto failed, even tooking him to 147.

Hey man, I don't agree with the fight at this weight but it is what it is. Marquez has a bit of time to work on his weight and try to figure out what's the best possible weight for him to be competitive against pac. For the record I don't think he looked too bad at 138 but we will see how he performs and then judge. No matter what I'm behind Marquez all the way.Comment

For me the difference here is that, as happened with Floyd....Pacquiao is the top fighter and why not? THE CASH COW....
So..should Pacquiao go down to 135 or should Marquez go up to 144?
They even established an agreed weight for the fight. And believe me, Pacquiao will not outweight Marquez the way Floyd did.
Marquez went up to 148 the day of the fight against Mayweather. BIG MISTAKE.
He'll not do that again.
He weighted 145 against katsidis and made a great great fight. NO EXCUSE!!
But WTF !! Anyways there will be excuses against Pacquiao.Comment

Hey buddy , lots of guys dont have any one thing thats great but what they have and bring on their night can nullify all of that and pull out big wins , the difference in fighters at the top end of the sport is in fractions not miles being in the zone on the night is a huge leveler , Im not blowing Berto sunshine , Im just saying people on NSB are very quick to cull the loser only because he lost .Comment

My beef with Pac in this one is they are always saying he can make 140 easy , they could have gone at 140 and it would be a fair deal , 135 would be unreasonable to Manny ,, 144 is unreasonable to JMM who tried to get them down to 142 and they wouldnt be in it , I guess Im dirty on Roach for stiffing JMM , he knows its going to slow JMM down and that will change everything , I dont like them bragging they will KO Juan knowing they have him over a barrel .
This is Pac now not Katsidis lots of difference , JMM needs his absolute A game to compete with Pac , at 144 he cant bring that .Comment

Last time Manny weighted less than 143 pounds was against De la Hoya. He weighted 142 that night. So I don't think it would be that easy for Manny to make 140.
And remember... He can stay around 143 or 144 if he wants. Manny will not outweight Marquez for the big reason that he needs speed and foot work.Comment
