i get what you are saying....but wheres all the advocacy for the houses, furniture, cars...etc etc that were purchased with his boxing money...is he entitled to everything just cause he got in the ring and boxed?

I haven't lived in California, and I understand that apparently laws dictate that this is well.. Legal. However I think the reason those items purchased with money he earned are different in that they are not directly related and a reflection of his work in the sport of boxing. They also are more likely to hold sentimental value for him than say a flat screen TV that the two of them once shared. If it wasn't a bit strange or offputting for her to get his belts, it wouldn't be such a polarizing headline that has everyone is reacting to. I actually read about it in a couple non boxing non sport media outlets.
