Honest questions for the Cotto fans.

    What IF.......

What if Margarito beats Cotto in the rematch? What will you say then, seriously.

I understand people hate Marg because of the wraps scandal and I understand that but what if in the rematch, Marg brutalizes Cotto once again?

Will the excuse be he is past it? Will the excuse be that maybe Marg somehow got another pair of loaded gloves in this fight?

What will Cotto's or Marg's legacy be after this if it happens?

    Just a question.

I've always been a fan of Cotto & was a fan of Margarito as well. But after Margarito was caught loading up before the Mosley fight,I turned away from him.

If Margarito beats Cotto in the rematch that simply mean s he has his #.It's happened many times before.A greater fighter has loss to a slightly lesser fighter. But still had the better career.Example:B-Hop lost to JT who lost to Pavlik who B-Hop dominated.

Margarito has lost a lot with that scandal & beating Cotto won't change that.it will show he's the better fighter head to head though.

They can't use the Cotto is past it excuse, because Marg is pasted it too.

There is no more excuses. Once Cotto loses they all have to come back to reality and hopefully they finally realize Cotto isn't even close to the fighter that he was in 2007. This is boxing, not some Disney movie, there isn't always a happy ending. Come December 6th there is gonna be alot of tears and sadness that night.

Hopefully I'm wrong, nothing would make me happier than seeing Cotto win this fight, but I'm not picking with my heart like everyone else is. I'm picking with my brain, and my brain tells me Margarito is gonna win.

As much as I'd like Cotto to avenge his brutal loss, I think Margacheato has him. Cotto just doesn't move well enough to avoid Margacheato all night and he simply isn't the fighter he used to be. However, this doesn't clear Margacheato from the cheating accusations of the original fight.

at this point I am more impressed on Cotto than Margarito and will be rooting for Miguel, but if by chance that Tony wins the fight, I will give him due credit and in my eyes he earned his shot and maybe if he keeps on winning redeemed himself ....

If he losses, Cotto's legacy won't change in any way IMO. he will still be a 3 division champ heading to the HOF who couldnt get passed Margarito nor Pacquiao. But if he wins, IMO thats a different and bigger story. This is a tough style and fight for Cotto especially at 154) and if he loses to Margarito, you wont get an excuse coming outta me unless judges similar to P.Williams/Lara decide to show up. LOL.
Bottom line, both fighters have been through wars so there shouldn't be an excuse from either side as to one being more shot or in more wars than the other. The only excuse or argument out there after this fight will be what I said prior.....judges having a say if it comes down to a decision. The first fight was really close on the scorecards.

I just don't know about this fight.

Margarito didn't have plaster on his face. Cotto couldn't hurt him. You have to be able to hurt him to keep him off of you.

I'm actually not confident in Cotto beating Margarito in the rematch because imo, Margarito is simply a bad matchup for Cotto.

I know Margarito got his ass handed to him by Pacquiao but to me he showed he still has some left in tank.

Cotto on the other hand looked terrible against Mayorga. He was hittable, footwork was slow and his handspeed appeared slower. He hasn't shown any improvements under Steward imo.

Mayorga is a awkward guy to fight so i will give Cotto the benefit of the doubt. I just hope Steward can give Cotto a very good gameplan to help him beat Margarito but it won't be easy.
