I'm as big of a Floyd supporter as you'll find around here. That being said, Sergio would whomp Floyd out with ease at 160lbs. The size difference would just be too much. Oscar gave Floyd problems at 154lbs, and Floyd hasn't fought at that weight since. (That being said, it truly was an impressive win for Floyd, considering the size difference. This wasn't a weight-drained version of Oscar with nothing in the tank. Oscar could actually pull the trigger in their fight, and Floyd still beat the bigger man. This version of Oscar vs. the version that Manny fought is like night and day. There's no way Oscar aged that much in a year and a half. He was CLEARLY weight-drained against Pac, just the way they wanted it.)
Floyd simply is not built to fight above welter, IMO. Yes, he beat Oscar for a world title at 154lbs, but that was based PURELY on skill, IMO. A lesser fighter would not have been able to sustain Oscar's onslaught. Floyd's incredible defensive skills got him through that fight, and earned him the win.
TBH, I think a lot of current 154lbers would probably give Floyd hell. He's getting older, and his reflexes are destined to drop off at some point. As good as he is defensively, he wouldn't be able to avoid getting hit at some point. And getting hit by an opponent that much bigger than you naturally, is sure to cause problems.
I'd say Floyd is the man at 147lbs and under. And even then, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Ortiz give him a real run for his money. Let's not forget, he started out at what? 130lbs? This isn't a guy being pumped full of ped's in training camp. (Like someone else we know. LOL.)
