It's called tying your opponent up, not something you'd witness growing up on Hatton fights.

Mosley continued swinging after him but he couldn't connect because Floyd's defence was on point. If he was younger the result would have been the same, Floyd tying him up and playing defence until he regained his balances.

It isn't a sign of him hanging on for dear life as he finished the round strong. It is a case of him having the sense to realise he was in a position to trade with Mosley until he regained his sense and stopped his momentum.
