A 13th round proposal if a fight is a draw!

Heck even if it took 10 mins to get a score, give them a 5 min warm up time. This can only be good, an extra round for your money, and it's a lot harder to do a robberry with 1 round, and imagine how hyped the crowd will be.



As the crowd cheers, fans from the blue and red corner clapping away, excited by the Golden Round. Everyone knows how important it is to impress the judges.

The trainers talking to their warriors; "Come on man, this is the Golden Round, this is your chance, if you win this, you are on to bigger things, you are gonna get paid, you will be known as a hero, just give it your all"

The fighters face each other, sweaty from warming up face to face. Nervous energy surrounding them, then the ref clears the ring.

i think thats not a bad idea, but not a practical one. they would have to aounce the scorecards pretty much instantly after the last round, you couldnt have the fighters waiting around.

My only problem would be the time it would take to clear the ring and get the guys who are now cooled down, juiced up enough emotionally to make it memorable. All fights should be odd numbered rounds anyways IMO, to avoid draws

that wouldnt eliminate the possibility of a draw. if it was 13 rounds, the fighters could win 6 a piece and one round even.

Nah, injuries happen when you're cold. A 2 minute rest instead of 60 seconds would be nice as far as freshing them up... but 15 mins? They'd be stiff.

they can warm up , man.

or just have the ******

i just find it funny we're talking about professional athletes not being able to go because they're "cold" after a few minutes.

what if after 13 rounds it's still a draw? one guy won the round but got deducted a point for a lowblow or something making the score a 9-9 round. go for a 14th round?

It's unfair to expect fighters to give their all over 12 then somehow find more for a 13th. I'd be more in favour of a mandatory 12 week rematch.
