A 13th round proposal if a fight is a draw!

Yes guys, if a fight is a draw, I think they should clear the ring, and let the prize fighters have one last round. What do you think?

My only problem would be the time it would take to clear the ring and get the guys who are now cooled down, juiced up enough emotionally to make it memorable. All fights should be odd numbered rounds anyways IMO, to avoid draws

Basically, they need a quicker way to know if it's a draw, that way the ring doesn't even get filled.

It wouldn't work the way it is now, it'd be 15 mins before they could start another round.

THIS. Imagine how Sergio Martínez felt after they overturned the TKO ruling by the ref and allowed Kermit Cintrón to continue because of all of his whining.

Martínez was celebrating a KO victory, gets up on the turnbuckle, raises his arms, crowd's cheering, and after 5-10 minutes, the ref says, "You know what? Yeah...it was a headbutt...fight continues."

Draws are part of the game

And Making a odd amount of rounds will in no way solve that issue

i've been saying this for years

instead of the judges holding their cards the whole time, they need to submit their scores after every round and someone would just keep a running tally

immediately when the 12th round concludes, that final score is added and if its a draw, then that crucial 13th round ensues

****. let it take 15 minutes.

give them a ton of rest so they can go all out the last round.

The long break is what would ruin this idea. Some may not have a problem with it, but the fighters would.

Nah, injuries happen when you're cold. A 2 minute rest instead of 60 seconds would be nice as far as freshing them up... but 15 mins? They'd be stiff.
