Hopkins should have won the espy no Pacquiao.

Well, I guess it shows how modern boxing is now a popularity contest rather than fighting the best. Hopkins should have won that award easy

right behind fear, one of the strongest emotions. . . mayweather has exhibited both to the utmost, which explains his behavior.

technically hopkins didn't "beat" pascal for the 2010 espy, right? he didn't beat him until the rematch. . . yeah he should have gotten the nod in the first fight, but his fight with roy jones was a farce and a half. . . froch lost to kessler; sergio had a good year. . .

but i think pac is the deserved winner. his domination and accomplishments = UNPRECEDENTED. and my response to people who say "it's only because of this "era"" = why hasn't anyone else done it? or yet, came CLOSE to ripping through top fighters of 8 weight classes? Pacquiao literally dismantled the WW division.

If Hopkins beats Dawson he'll undoubtedly win The Ring's Fighter of the year, which is much more prestigious than the popularity contest that is the ESPYs.

I agree 100%, if Hopkins fights and beats Dawson then he should DEFINITELY win the 2011 fighter of the year, and the ESPY, and basically every other major award. . .

take that back, if jortiz beats mayweather then it's 60/40 ortiz.

I guess not....ever since it's inception, only two fighters have won it.

                  Floyd 3 times
                  Pacquiao 2 times.
