Out of those two? Hmmmm, tough question.

I hated the 'Hatton delusion' more than anyone and would have bet my last penny that he would never have fought Mayweather or Pacquaio but the man earned my respect and made me a fan when he took those fights even though I knew for a 100% fact he would lose both of them. This also allowed the 'Hatton delusion' to end, which was great.

The Calzaghe delusion was unbearable considering 168 is such a new division and the quality around Joe was **** for the most part so the UK media could sell the fights like they were literally amazing match ups vs the likes of Byron Mitchell and so forth and of course the 'fans' ate it up like no tommorow

Problem is, the Calzaghe delusion never ended and we STILL have dumb ass fans claiming Calzaghe is one of the best fighters of all time.

I mean, my partners Father is like 100 years old and told me Joe Calzaghe is the best fighter he's ever seen. I mean, what the ****?

        So yeah, Joe, by far.

Pacquiao never get credit to all his fights except from his fans. His fights against Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and Mosley, he got no credits from it even though he fought them as a lightweight. Pac all his fights starting from Oscar, he never weigh-in fight night above 148. Like all the ligjtweights, they usually weigh in between 145-150 fight night. In Marquez fight, it would not make any difference. Pac will get no credit even though in fight night both will weigh in as all the lightweights normally do. Poeple are blinded by their hates. How many boxers out there fighting at welterweight who weighed in 148 and below fight night, being outweighed by 10-17 lbs and still gave them the worst beating they can get? If the boxing commission change their rule and bring back the old rule, WEIGH IN THEN FIGHT. Pac vs Marquez will be classified as a welterweight fight. Those other fighters Pac previously he fought, they will be classified as a true middleweight and there is no way the fight will happen at all unlles they drain themselves at 147. WHYthe haters FAILED to see this?

there's unfinished business between the two men

marquez has WON MORE ROUNDs than pacquiao
they fought to an absolute standstill
            twice
Although the trilogy i'm about to compare it to is different in many ways...

What did you thought of the 1989 3rd fight between Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran?

I wasn't around at that time, well I was born, but not yet a boxing fan. So I would like to know what was that feeling of fans, coming in to the fight? I am aware Duran was way past his best weight, which was 135, and this fight was for WBC SMW title and i'm also aware Duran was also not only past his best weight, but also 38 years old, same age as Marquez, and Leonard was 32-33, same age as Pacquiao. Did hardcore fans in 1989, think that Leonard-Duran III meant nothing for Leonard's legacy and Duran was already past his best and were not too hype of this fight despite them being 1-1 against eachother and this fight was seen as "unfinished business between the two men"?

I'm asking because, it's crazy to think that Marquez-Pacquiao III actually means something, at the weight class it's being held+the age of one of the fighters. If Duran-Leonard III was seen as a meaningless fight for Leonard, then I imagine what did this fight meant between two top 10-15 ATG's.

Honestly, at this point, the worse Pac beats up Marquez the worse alot of people will view the fight. The perception (and rightfully so) is that Marquez was ducked for years and is now being fought because he is seen as easy pickings. If Pac fought him toenail to toenail for 24 rounds, and then all the sudden just blows him out in a couple rounds, it proves that Marquez couldnt handle the weight (as we have seen) and is slipping from his best (which we have also seen.) This is a lose lose for Pac in my opinion.

I gotta tell you Pac looked pretty average in his last outing against Mosley, be it from leg cramps or whatever. There's an eminent feeling I think that Pacquiao's prime may nearly be over. An impressive win over a fighter of Marquez's caliber will prove that he's still p4p #1 because there are some lingering doubts in my mind at least after the Mosley fight.
