  • What Does an Impressive Win over Marquez do for Pacquiao ?

Both of their fights have been extremely close, so its hard to say who has been the better man in their meetings.

Of course Pacquiao has become the biggest name in the game while Marquez has maintain his consistency in fighting and winning against good opposition, of course for the exception of Mayweather.

We all know that Pacquiao has more to loose in this fight than Marquez.

But to you personally what does it do for Pacquiao and his legacy if he has an impressive win over his arch rival ?

    Let me know your opinion.

    Absolutely nothing.

Even if he knocks him out like he did hatton, it means nothing. Pacquiao chose a lose, lose fight. If he wins, he loses. If he loses, obvious.

Manny Pacquiao is the #1 pound for pound fighter in the sport. He's fighting as sharp as ever. He's facing a fading great who will be moving up two divisions. This isn't quite Holyfield-Ruiz IV but legacy wise, it doesn't change anything.

Will show his improvement and will better Mayweather's result against Marquez, so that will make it 4 for 4 for Pacquiao, Oscar, Hatton, Mosley and Marquez.

Pacquiao won't even have to come in over the agreed limit.

spoken like somebody who hasn't been watching boxing for very long, and wont be watching it for much longer.

there's unfinished business between the two men

marquez has WON MORE ROUNDs than pacquiao
they fought to an absolute standstill
                  twice

Difference is; those fights actually mattered as opposed to this one that simply means nothing.
